Great location, but a little underwhelmed

I have to say that this is not my first time staying in this property, but it's the first time that I found the staff being so friendly and nice. That for me was a great thing. BUT, and it is a big but, the property is starting to feel old and not taken care of. For what once was, such a modern hotel, it really feels dated. Not because of the design, but because it hasn't been maintained well. I would stay here again of course, but because I really like the area of midtown and how close it is to the Design District, but be prepared to feel a bit underwhelmed.

Good hotel for a a night stop over before a cruise. Location is a good distance between the cruise port and airport so easy to get to both by taxi. Rooms were clean and spacious and staff were lovely and helpful. There is a small pool on the roof which is great to get over the jet lag check out was 12 noon which was a great

Cynthia was an amazing waitress. It is our 6 month anniversary and she made us feel so special tonight. She even got the cook to write “Happy 6 months” on our dessert. She went over and beyond. This was our first time visiting Elevar from out of town and we will definitely be here again.

I always enjoy coming here. This is my 9th time in Miami. I really enjoy going to the Sky Bar. Cynthia at the bar does a fantastic job. Since I'm from Germany and Cynthia speaks German, it's always nice to be able to speak a few words in German. And Cynthia's cocktails always taste excellent. I highly recommend the Sky Bar.
