AC Hotel By Marriott Miami Wynwood

After a long day of travel, we couldn’t have asked for a warmer welcome than the one we received at the AC Hotel Wynwood. From the moment we walked in, Sameerah, the front desk manager, set the tone for our entire stay with her energy, warmth, and genuine hospitality. Sameerah greeted us with a full walkthrough of the hotel’s amenities and surprised us with a thoughtful welcome that included chocolate, bottled water, and a glass of rosé. She then went above and beyond to take care of everything we needed: helping us plan breakfast for the next morning and arranging a shuttle to the port the following day. She handled it all cheerfully and made sure our family left the front desk feeling completely taken care of. That kind of attentive, personal service is rare, and it gave us an incredible first impression of the property. Our fifth floor room was everything we hoped for after a tiring travel day: spacious, quiet, clean, and thoughtfully laid out. As a family of three, we had plenty of room to spread out and get comfortable. The efficient layout made the space feel even larger than it was. If you’re considering a stay at the AC Hotel Wynwood, do yourself a favor and book it. Between the beautiful accommodations and staff like Sameerah who truly go the extra mile, this hotel delivers an experience that is hard to top. We will absolutely be back!

The hotel was very nice and clean, with tasty breakfast and friendly staff. We’ve had an issue with a delayed check in due to room not being ready at 3pm and the TV not working in our room - however staff was very apologetic and offered free parking and breakfast. In my opinion, the hotel only gets 4 starts as it’s expensive and you get an additional „destination fee” added on arrival of $30, giving you a credit of $15 to use in the hotel and other benefits such as 3h bike rental. Benefits that you are unlikely to use. Also, parking charge is $35 per day, with $7.70 self parking tax fee.

On a recent trip to Miami, I decided to check out as many properties as possible and enjoyed a night in the Wynwood area of the city. The AC Miami Wynwood hotel is situated close to local bars and restaurants, together with plenty of shopping opportunities. The hotel is also particularly generous when it comes to Titanium/Platinum benefits. Although a $30 resort fee is added to the bill, $15 of this can be used towards food and beverages. I was staying with my two children and was given $10 credit per person meaning breakfast was essentially paid for. Breakfast was a buffet or a la carte. Children were charged half price. It meant that for my $45 bill the entirety was covered by the $30 Titanium breakfast credit and the $15 resort fee rebate. The rooms are cozy and modern. I love the hardwood floor that runs throughout all of the AC hotels I’ve stayed at. The shower too was also particularly powerful. The hotel also has a great rooftop area with a warm rooftop pool. There are deck chairs and daybeds aligning the pool area and there also looked to be a restaurant and bar in operation at the time I was there. For those who love to watch the arrivals into Miami International Airport, you’re in luck! The planes coming in to land from the east fly directly over the hotel. There is also a super view of the Miami Skyline from the very same rooftop. Car parking at the hotel is on the pricey side with a charge of around $50 to park overnight. However, next door to the hotel is a private car park where you can leave your vehicle for 24 hours for just $20. I would encourage anyone looking to park close to the hotel to simply do that rather than pay the extortionate fee the hotel wished to charge me. There is also street parking directly in front of the hotel but this can only be for a maximum of five hours so it would not be any good for those who sleep more than that in a single night! It was interesting for me to stay in this part of Miami having never visited in the past and I would definitely return in the future should the opportunity arise.

Stayed at the AC Hotel Miami Wynwood for a quick trip and left feeling pretty neutral. The stay wasn’t terrible, but it also wasn’t memorable. The room was fine overall, though there were some noticeable stains on the door that should’ve been cleaned before check-in. I had requested a higher floor, but neither was accommodated, even though the hotel didn’t seem full. There’s no room service, which was my fault for not checking beforehand, but still a bit of a letdown. Service was polite but unremarkable, and the space itself feels more functional than welcoming. It’s not a place I’d warn anyone away from, but it’s also not one I’d choose again.
