We have recently returned from a very relaxing break (July 09th to 16th 2025) at the Santikos Aegean Suites Hotel. So many positive things to say about it. This wonderful hotel has impressive rooms throughout. Our one bedroom apartment was large and beautifully furnished enjoying a lovely separate lounge area leading onto a balcony with far reaching views over the sea towards Skopelos. Original artwork decorated the rooms adding individuality. The staff are a joy to be around and they really make this hotel special. It's worth mentioning a number of members of staff who really stood out from the date we arrived, until we reluctantly left. Ludwig took our suitcases on arrival, sprinting up the hundred or so steps up to our apartment without breaking sweat. Managing the bar and its staff, was the wonderful Nikki, who always had time to have a chat with us. Managing breakfast was Dimitris, who had his work cut out every morning to keep guests fed and watered with a great variety of food and drink, served to your table. Younger staff members under the direction of both Nikki and Dimitris included Konstantine, Mary and the wonderful Ostiris (who always had a smile, greeting us whenever we were at the pool bar or restaurant). Management provided by Timothe and Panos (not forgetting Detty the dog) was both efficient and very friendly. Our apartment was kept clean and tidy by the very quiet Claire. Finally the star of the show has to be Bella the resident cat who was everyone’s favourite, but never a pest at mealtime. The pool area benefits from a good sized and clean freshwater pool, jacuzzi pool, pool bar serving drinks and quality fresh food, plus great sturdy sun beds, with comfy pads and towels provided. This small “adults only” hotel, close to a bus top and beach bars, is ideally situated to explore the truly beautiful and unspoilt island of Skiathos. It's only a €2 bus ride or €10 taxi ride to the centre of town (though can be easily walked either by road or beach), where there are plentiful bars and restaurants. Yes, there are stairs to the rooms, as the hotel is built into a hillside, but it's great exercise and only necessary to use them a few times a day when you go back to your room. The hotel has a sister hotel (Santikos Princess Hotel), a 5min drive away, with free transport between the two, bookable the day before. This hotel caters for families and is well worth visiting for the day as it has its own stretch of beach with complimentary sunbeds, shade and towels. The beach bar provides drinks and fresh food from similar menus to the Aegean Suites. Our fondest wishes to all the staff, Chris and Elaine xx
