Aegean Suites

This is a gorgeous hotel with lovely pool area and excellent location close enough to skiathos town for a 15 minute walk on an evening. Plenty of tavernas and restaurants nearby too. 3 supermarkets close by. Breakfast is lovely served in a lovely raised, covered area where you can watch the boats go by in the bay. All of the staff are brilliant but Dimitris is excellent at his job and always served us with a smile, he always remembered our requirements which is an excellent attribute. I would have given the hotel 5 stars if not for the 130 steps we had to climb to get to out room. We knew it had lots of steps and we're only early 50's so can do them reasonably easily but I wouldn't recommend it for people with walking issues or the elderly.

This is really lovely boutique hotel in a good location close to Skiathos Town. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. The room we had was just lovely, plenty of space, comfy bed, great aircon. We were B&B, the breakfasts were very good with a good choice considering the small size of the hotel. We had lunch a couple of times in the bar which was also a reasonable price and very good. We stayed on the 3rd (the highest) level and despite being in our 50s/60s and reasonably fit must admit that the 150+ steps from street level were a challenge at times (don't forget anything and have to go back !!), especially in the heat of the day so if you are not that fit, request a lower level. The upside of the 3rd level is that it is very peaceful away from the road and the views are lovely from the room balcony. Some other comments: 1. There is a couple of supermarkets less than 5 minutes walk away 2. The beach is about a 10 minute walk away and there is a lovely beach bar there for lunch (Swell) 3. It is a 15-20 minute walk into Skiathos Town but its along a busy road often without a footpath. We chose to use the bus instead with bus stop 5 a few minutes walk away 4. The buses are fantastic, about every 10 minutes until after midnight, only 2 euros each one way (compared to 10 if you take a taxi) 5. Visit the sister hotel, Skiathos Princess, it too is lovely and has a really nice beach, private sun loungers and lovely beach bar. The hotel will provide a shuttle to get you there Although we gave 5 stars there are a few possible improvements: 1. Fix the fan in the breakfast area as even at 8am its hot ! 2. Not enough shade by the pool bar, a few extra umbrellas would help 3. No shade at lunchtime on the outside tables by the restaurant, if there was these tables would get used 4. There are a limited number of sunbeds by the pool (a lovely pool !), we always managed to get one but I imagine this could be a problem at times, but not a lot the hotel can do with the limited space around the pool. At least one pair of sunbeds had no umbrella which seemed a missed opportunity as these were rarely used Overall we would thoroughly recommend Aegean Suites.

My wife and I enjoy a fabulous week. From our arrival to our departure it was luxury and fantastic service all the way. The attention to detail from everyone from the Manager to the cleaning staff is first class and it doesn’t go unnoticed by everyone . We would like to say a huge thank you to Chanel ( Myroniki ) , Panos, Timothe ,Dimitris x 2, Soritis Mary, Elena and Ludovic. Apologies if we have missed anyone. We stayed All Inclusive and the standard of food for each meal was wonderful, from Eggs Benedict ,Salmon and avocado , fresh fruit at breakfast, a delicious lunch menu to Steak or Seabass for dinner ( much, much more to choose from and all perfect )so thanks to the kitchen staff great job. Panos arranged several details for us to make our stay so much easier from a floor, flowers for my wife and booking a restaurant for our anniversary dinner , so thank you. We had a minor issue in the room which was dealt with quickly and without too much trouble. The reception area has a library/book swap which is excellent. We were sad to leave. Oh a special mention to the extra company at meal times, Bella the cat.

The hotel is in a excellent location within walking distance of Skiathos town and some great restaurants nearby. We were only in Skiathos for a short time but loved the island – beautiful scenery, friendly people and delicious food. We could not have asked for a better hotel with a very comfortable room and good facilities including a great pool area and bar. Breakfasts were excellent with lots of choice including fresh fruit, eggs cooked anyway you liked and pancakes, they also provided gluten free bread and pastries which was appreciated. What made the hotel and our holiday extra special was the staff who were all very friendly and helpful – we are looking forward to returning to Skiathos for a longer break and won’t hesitate to return to the Aegean Suites hotel.
