Disgusting Hygiene in Toilets and entertainment area.

31 Aug 2025
This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in, I realise people have different opinions, and some do moan about anything, every one you spoke to said the same thing the hygiene was appalling, due to no staff, one bar man on all day, no staff in restaurant, you was shown to a table with plates and cutlery still on, until some one finally moved it. The toilets, should of been shut down, for two days, the male and female toilets, had a black bin liner of the blocked toilets and urinals. Their was 10 of us in 3 rooms, when we arrived in the early hours of the morning they only had 2 rooms booked for us. After a long debate, they gave my son and 3 daughters a room with a double bed and a camp bed. This was sorted the next morning, but one of our family had a broken camp bed and after several request and nothing getting done, gave up asking, They had a mouldy shower curtain that clung to your legs when showering. I have been to 4 resorts with Jet 2 this year, so I know a clean accommodation when I see one, Please do not be fooled by the photos they show. The pools are lovely but resort awful. I have put in a complaint to Jet 2

Excellent family holiday experience

31 Aug 2025
Ok, for the serial moaners, let's get the minor irritations (rather than negatives) out of the way 1st. Sure, the place could do with a lick of paint and yes, the queuing at peak mealtimes and bartimes is not ideal, and the location, whilst boasting the most amazing views of the Aegean across to Turkey, is far from perfect if you want to spend any time in Kos Town as you have to rely on a shuttle service that requires booking the evening before (again usually by joining a queue) and the place is clearly understaffed in all aspects (hence the queuing) but we are having a truly wonderful stay. If you want perfection, your choice of several restaurants and private access to a beach then this place is definitely not for you - but you're not paying the £6-7k that this sort of holiday demands. However, if you want to spend quality family time in comfortable accommodation with access to several pools (most of which are located directly outside the rooms) whilst enjoying decent food & drink and the most stunning views, then this place is right up your street. The site is vast, with some rooms (ours included) quite a distance from the main hub but the hotel lay on lifts to the more remote areas which is a real help late at night especially. I don't concur with the view that the staff are rude and unhelpful - they are clearly being overworked but, in general, they have a positive attitude towards the guests - it's amazing how courteous they can be if they are offered the same courtesy by the guests. The entertainment staff are extremely enthusiastic, hardworking and proactive, checking in on you daily around the pool to check that everything is ok and to encourage you to take part in the daily activities, whilst not being too pushy. Evening entertainment is the usual family holiday fare with mini disco, bingo, karaoke, quizzes, live music, etc. A visit into the lively and stunning Kos Town is a must during your stay - here you will find plenty of bars and restaurants at extremely reasonable prices and excellent quality/settings. There is a lovely beach that goes on and on with luxury sunbeds available at the several different beachside bars for a relatively inexpensive price. There are also several different boat trips for couples and families alike available at the harbour (again at reasonable prices). As mentioned above, the hotel offers a free hourly shuttle service throughout the day but the booking system and queing that it brings is not ideal - the hotel could improve this service so much more by running a half-hourly rather than hourly service, and later into the night - last shuttle is at 6pm. For those not keen on the shuttle, a taxi will cost you around €15 each way. To sum up, the place is far from perfect, but it is far from the dirty, miserable place that some on here have described - as an experienced budget all-inclusive holiday maker, this holiday experience has been among the best and I would urge you to take the 1 & 2 star reviews with a huge pinch of salt. If you approach your holiday with a positive attitude, you will have a positive experience here, trust me.

Nice hotel

31 Aug 2025
Nice hotel for the price, free bus to the beach, book this the day before. It is a bit out of the way but nice, food ok for buffet, pool bar staff were a bit miserable, “I only have 2 hands” pools good, room ok, was only slightly cleaned twice in a week, not sure if that’s normal

Open minded. Budget friendly accommodation

31 Aug 2025
Ok So this has really mixed reviews on trip advisor. I appreciate that everyone's view is going to be different, but genuinely, it was not as bad as so many people portrayed it. Let's be honest, it's not an AI 5* where is all bells and whistles but the price is reflected in that. Yes there is some TLC needed in places and an overhaul with decor but it's a good base to be into Kos Town. We didn't have the biggest room. We were 205. Two bedrooms, and you had to access the bathroom via the second bedroom. It was clean, tidy, but dated. The main pool was filled with many families who just seemed to drink all day and as a result it was messy...as people didn't put the cups in the bin and expected everyone else to look after their mess. But every block of apartments had a pool. Sadly our block had about 10 beds so we never got a sunbed there but throughout there are plenty of beds and spaces with pools. The one below the eaterpark/slides was our favourite as it was chilled. Again the decking needs some tlc but it's superficial stuff that I'm sure is beyond rectified when they close. I've heard it's having a whole refurb. The food. Honestly how people complain is beyond me. There's everything. And if you can't find something to eat, well honestly that's on you. There's salads. Soups. Breads. Pasta. Fries. Pizza as well as Greek dishes. Constant supply of ice cream. And the snack bar has salad and sandwiches which you can DIY toast. The guy at the door needs to be on his phone less. Until you've had a few meals you don't know the system and if he's not at the door you are frowned upon for walking in.. basically wait at the door to be seated. It would make sense if outside customers could use the other door rather than passing the queue. Bar... depending on who you get depends on service but tbh I watched some children wasting the bar man's time and he was fed up. It's a constant flow of people wanting multiple drinks and being rude. Not excising Mr Grumpy persona but it works both ways. The really should have reusable cups. The waste plastic cups is beyond horrific. There's so many simple tweaks that could make this an amazing place. The view is amazing and overlooks Turkey. The shuttle bus could have a more effective booking system with a low cost or deposit maybe via an app rather than waiting in a queue with no guarantee of a space and if you've a trip booked and need to be in Kos there's little option to get into town without it. Overall it's mixed. But as a base for a cheap ish summer holiday (compare price to other comparable * and this was much cheaper). Honestly, if you're open minded, and don't mind no frills and open to eating anything it really isn't that bad.

The worst hotel I've ever been to

31 Aug 2025
We stayed at the Agean View in Kos, and it was by far the worst hotel I have ever visited. Hygiene was non-existent. The bed sheets and towels were stained, there were bugs in the room, and the walls were dirty with large marks. In the restaurant, it was almost impossible to find a clean plate or glass. Other guests we spoke to had the same terrible experience, and one family even found a rat in their room. On top of that, the pool area was broken and poorly maintained, which is not only unpleasant but also unsafe. Overall, both cleanliness and service were absolutely unacceptable, and the hotel is unsafe as well. Definitely not recommended
