Aegean village

We booked 4 days before arriving and the reviews were mixed. We were so pleasantly surprised. We traveled with my son who is 8 years old and everything was perfect from beginning to end. Clean, well maintained, good food, very friendly staff and especially the waiters on the patio outside were amazing.My son really loved Elia. The animation team was wonderful. Entertainment was great.The view fantastic and we will for sure be back. We miss it already.

A wonderful, relaxing holiday. The apartments, staff, food, facilities were lovely. I'm planning on going back next year to the same place!

Should have checked the reviews more before staying. Average hotel. Lovely pool very clean and the maids were great! We arrived at the village and paid the local tax. We got a bus to our room. I couldn’t fault the mini bus at all. It was at our door as soon as you rang very great service very fast and lovely people running in the bus and didn’t have to wait long at all. The food I have got to admit was very repetitive every single day for seven days we had to eat out in the end we couldn’t do it any longer. There was the same food constantly also when you have a kid with you there is no kids section no chips no pizza no chicken nuggets the usual stuff that kids like there was occasionally tomato pasta But it had pesto or something in it so my child didn’t like it anyway the potatoes were cooked in some oil so they also didn’t like them restaurant staff were pretty rude. There was a man on the door who protected the place like the crown jewels. He wouldn’t even let us take our beach bag in there. No one in there smiled. There was a different carved meat every day, but apart from that, there wasn’t much different, same desserts, same starters, etc. There is a lovely beach across the road from the hotel which we was ok. You had to pay for sunbeds which I thought was disgusting as it was opposite the hotel so we couldn’t sit there very much. They were very dirty. There wasn’t a lot of things to do around the area one day we ordered a taxi and sat in reception for two hours and it didn’ arrive so I wouldn’t recommend waiting around also it was very expensive to rent a car from the hotel. We booked a few trips we didn’t see any reps in the hotel, but we booked our trips in Kardamaina. We booked the waterpark a trip to Turkey, which was quite good a night trip to kos. The only good thing about these is that they picked you up from the hotel so you didn’t have to arrange taxis. There is a local bus that run But it’s every hour and the times are very unpredictable and the bus hardly ever turned up. We got the scooters outside the hotel. The only problem with them is that you had to top up them 10 or €20 before you even ride them so you have to use them a few times to make it worthwhile they did break down a few times But there was fun to go on to get anywhere quick quicker The beach at kardamenia was nice. I’ve also got to admit I didn’t think much of the entertainment team. They didn’t seem to get many people involved or walk round to talk or interact with anyone. It was the same entertainment every single day. There wasn’t much enthusiasm and my eight-year-old daughter was quite bored throughout the day. Overall I would not come back to this hotel. We had a good time definitely an average stay but wouldn’t recommend. I think a lot of changes can be made a kids section in the restaurant would be great. I did think the cocktails were quite expensive as well as it’s a half board hotel. They should be a bit cheaper. My last point is that I think it is awful You have to pay for drinks with your dinner such as Coke there should be a machine and should be included in the price we spent so much money on soft drinks. I’ve never been somewhere where these are not included in the half board tea stay.

Arrived early hours. Smooth check in although there is a hotel tax which cost us €140 for 2 rooms. Room was clean and what I needed for a week. Beds comfy and rooms cleaned daily. Beautiful views of the Aegean Sea. Getting a sun bed was no problem but I think this is due to it not being an all inclusive hotel so was not very busy. Food was ok, what you would expect on holiday but nothing for kids to eat apart from a tomato pasta. You get free drinks with breakfast but not with dinner, even water which was a bit annoying. Men have to wear trousers for dinner but we got used to that after a couple of days (16 and under do not need to wear trousers) Now the staff….: entertainment team really friendly and worked so hard. The restaurant staff looked so unhappy but that s due to the management. I saw the manager (tall guy, never smiled) have a right go at a waiter which wasn’t nice. Also he was very abrupt with us too because I asked for a bottle of water! The owner , an old guy watches like a hawk from the doorway holding his phone and is a bit scary but hey he is elderly and runs his hotel like a tight shop but it works as there was not your usual scrum getting food ! Nice walk into Kardamena about 20 mins as the wait is far too long for a taxi!! All in all a good holiday, would not return to this hotel but there is a big world out there to enjoy other places so thanks for a great holiday!
