Perfect holiday for family of 4

A brilliant holiday. Perfect for our family of 4 (kids aged 7 and 5). Varied and good quality food (and I’m a food snob!!) Room was great. Very picturesque location, and lovely to have our own beach. Buggies were a godsend and readily available. Quick airport transfer (we booked a private taxi to make the most of our time). Good quality entertainment if you want it, plenty of more relaxing spaces in the daytime and evening if you don’t. We stayed for 7 nights and it wasn’t long enough. Would recommend to anyone. I can’t understand what anyone would have to complain about!

Beautiful hotel, stunning views

We have just returned from a week in this hotel, it was absolutely beautiful, the grounds were so well kept and the views were breathtaking. Our room was 4211 and we couldn’t have been further away from the main hotel part which was tricky to manage with two children under 5. We were reliant on the buggies which were not always regular. I think when advertising it should be made much clearer that this hotel is really large. There is a real lack of toilets and baby change facilities so to pop back the room was difficult given the distance. Our room was lovely, spacious, clean and the sea view was out of this world. Our air con was terrible and we had called twice to be told it was working (it was not) but fortunately the room had a ceiling fan which helped. The buffet restaurant food is nice. It is constantly restocked and warm. Lots of choice for adults and children. I would however say that it is very unorganised, there is always multiple tables which haven’t been cleaned which meant lots of people wandering round looking for tables. It seemed the staff were a bit chaotic. We ate in the beach restaurant and pool one. This was included in the all inclusive package and didn’t disappoint. The food was lovely, service was fab and the views were gorgeous. I would highly recommend eating in those. We learnt on the last day you can also eat your breakfast in the pool side one which may avoid the chaos of the buffet. The pools are all beautiful, lots of sun loungers, spacious and clean. The beach is also lovely, with sunbeds and a beach bar. We hired a boat from the beach which I would definitely recommend, really well priced. The drinks on the all inclusive were great and cocktails were included. The staff were friendly on the whole, however the main pool (lively entertainment pool) has a bar and the staff are very miserable and often huff when ordering drinks, in particular the young male and elderly male - not the friendliest of staff! The entertainment staff were great, so personable and made a real effort with everyone in our party. Overall I would definitely recommend this hotel without hesitation. There are just a few niggles which should be improved! Fantastic week away, loved every second and would certainly return.

Beautiful grounds but let down by food and drinks

Just returned from 10 days at the Aeolos Beach Resort. POSITIVES Lovely grounds which are well maintained by the gardeners, definitely the best feature of the hotel The rooms are spread over a hillside, which is very steep in parts, but buggies are available 24/7 to get you around if you need them. We tried to walk as much as possible and there are lots of short cuts once you find your way around Room was nice, a bit dated and some parts in need of attention but plenty of storage and bed was very comfy for me, although my husband prefers a softer mattress Three pools to choose from. Ironically we chose this hotel as it had an adults only pool and this was the only pool we didn't use as we preferred the lagoon pool near our room There is a bar at each pool so easy to get drinks Animation team did a good job. We saw them in two shows and enjoyed both. Entertainment on the whole was good. Beach party with Boom Box Collective on Thursday night was really good and we also enjoyed the acrobats and fire and lights shows. Greek night was disappointing, a bit flat. NEGATIVES We booked the hotel as it was all inclusive but the food was a massive negative. Although some food was tasty (some also bland) everything was consistently luke warm. Even when we went to the main restaurant shortly after it opened the food was still not hot. The heat lamps over the food were not good enough to keep the food hot. When I put this into the first day survey the hotel sends out the concierge responded saying we could reheat the food in the microwave. I think this is a terrible response and totally ridiculous to have to reheat food in a microwave to be able to have hot food. This is supposed to be a 4 star hotel! We did go to both of the al a carte restaurants. I know there are lots of good reviews on here but our experience was that the food wasn't great there, especially the greek one. We have visited lots of hotels and tavernas over the years and the food wasn't what we have experienced as typical greek food. Again there was the problem of luke warm food, which was hardly surprising as we saw some food being brought along on trays from the main buffet restaurant. Cold gyros is a big no no. I believe the main meals were being cooked at the Ionian restaurant. Drinks the first week were ok, though my husband said that the local beer wasn't great (the Corfu beer at the beach party was much better but only offered at this one event). However, the second week I don't know what happened but we were regularly taking soft drinks back because they were flat or tasted awful. There seemed to be something wrong with the mix of the drink and the gas that was added to it to make it fizzy. I do think a 4 star hotel should be offering orange juice, preferably fresh, at breakfast not some kind of orange cordial The pools weren't as clean as they could be and algae was growing on the side of the pool. Bottom of the pool was often gritty too. OTHER There were a few lovely members of staff, full of smiles, polite and efficient but unfortunately there were also some who were just going through the motions and were quite rude. Reception staff always friendly and Jonathan, who drove the buggy to take us to our room when we arrived, was lovely. Nikos at the Lagoon pool bar always friendly and smiley when we saw him, unlike the two female members of staff, an older lady and a younger girl. I don't think I saw them smile once and when you went to order drinks all you got was a "yes", as though you were inconveniencing them. Not the hotel's fault but if you are coming to this hotel be aware there are A LOT of wasps. You have no chance of eating or drinking without them swooping down and trying to get at the drinks especially The local tax is high I would say, compared to other places we have stayed, at 10 euro per night so 100 euro spent as soon as we checked in We went on the local bus to Corfu Town. It's an experience and was very busy and cramped All in all we would not recommend or come back to this hotel. This was mainly due to the food and drinks. When you book an all inclusive holiday the food and drinks are a big part of that. Get the restaurant updated with trays heated from underneath rather than the lamps which looked very dated and it would make a big difference

Relaxing hotel

I deleted my original review, due to arriving after midnight to rooms being wrong, and me and my family being at other ends of complex, if I'd have been aware at time of booking I'd have booked 2 superior bungalows and made sure they were together. I still don't agree with the 70 euro room tax. There's no enough sunbeds near the main pool.some of the bar staff are off not all. Rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. Waiting staff are great. Kids food is basic, could do with a bit more variety. The beach is quite rocky, but there is some sandy areas. The hotel area is traditional great style , which is why I booked it. Its a relaxing hotel, so not for the lively people.

Loved everything about our holiday the hotel is lovely everything is clean and plenty of options for everyone in a perfect place to visit other areas the bus service just outside the hotel is brilliant We will definitely come back
