Best view in Unawatuna.

We stayed at the Agnus for 3 nights after a 10 day tour of Sri Lanka. It was definitely the best hotel we stayed in and suited us very well. The building, facilities, pool, and especially the staff were all excellent. The location was good but would not suit everyone, like those wanting a beach holiday. Jungle Beach nearby would have been great if not so busy (weekend) and rubbish-strewn. Also hard to walk down to from where tuk tuks take you. Unawatuna Beach 2 km away was much bigger, with many shops and cafes. Not what you would call picturesque but a lively place. Galle itself is an interesting historic town and adds to the whole picture. In summary, a very good stay for us but some might not appreciate the location.

One Night, Truly Impressed – A Hidden Gem in Unawatuna

I stayed one night at Agnus Unawatuna and had a really pleasant experience. The room was spacious and very clean, which made it comfortable and relaxing. There was a pretty good variety of food on the menu, and everything I tried was absolutely delicious. The staff were very friendly and always ready to help with a smile. Overall, it was great value for the money and I would definitely consider staying there again.

The infinity pool offers breathtaking views, making every swim a memorable experience. The service was phenomenal – warm, attentive, and genuinely caring, which made us feel completely at home. The food was outstanding, with every dish prepared to perfection. We were also fortunate to celebrate Valentine’s Day here, and it was unforgettable: live music set the mood beautifully, while the special Valentine’s dinner created an atmosphere of romance and joy.
