Our premium swim up room was great- cleaned daily, terrace had sun in morning and then shade from about 2pm. Swim up pool in shade from about 4pm- this was lovely. All staff were great. Food good and staff very accomodating if we needed something different at meal times. Drinks were good, but lobby bar closed, so had to walk up steep hill to main pool bar all the time. Pool towels could be changed every 2 days, which was fab. Akron is in a great location, easy to access beach, shops and restaurants. Ample parking if have a hire car. Extremely Disappointing – Nothing Like the Photos! This was by far the worst hotel experience we have ever had. The property is advertised as a 4-star resort, but in reality it does not even provide the most basic conditions for guests. Please do not be fooled by the photos online – the reality is completely different. Here are just some of the serious issues we faced: No hot water in the room – taking a proper shower was impossible. The fridge was broken and completely useless. The TV only had 2 Greek channels, nothing else worked. The room and walls were full of mosquitoes, with many dead ones stuck to the walls. The electricity went out 2–3 times and the hotel has no generator, which is unacceptable for a so-called 4-star hotel. Staff offered us another room only if we agreed not to leave a bad review – which is completely unprofessional and manipulative. Later, they suggested we could leave with only 50% of our money back, even though we paid €2,039.64 for a one-week stay. We made it very clear that we could not stay even one more minute in such conditions. Shockingly, they reported to Booking that we had agreed to accept just €1,000 back – which is completely false. This hotel does not meet even the minimum basic standards. For the price they charge, what you get is unacceptable. It was a stressful and disappointing experience from start to finish. 👉 My advice: DO NOT book this hotel. It is nothing like the photos or descriptions – you will only end up frustrated and cheated.

Akron Seascape Sidari. 14 nights, Swim up room, All-Inc, 2 adults August 2025. £4000 with flights from UK. Quick review: Location Perfect. Rooms ok. Food good. Drinks ok. Swim up pool excellent. Communal Pool Poor. Communal area Poor. Full review. We really enjoyed our stay at Akron. The food, location and swim up room made our entire holiday brilliant. A short walk to the main strip and 2 min walk to beaches etc are a massive plus. We did have to change our room, as our first one was very run down. This was swapped quickly so no real complaints. Our swim up was in the shade until 2pm and this was perfect. Nothing worse than being trapped by direct sunlight all day. The All-Inc food is relatively good. Lots of people complain about no chips but this didn’t bother us at all. (The morning toaster needs renewing asap) it has become an inside joke with all guests. The communal pool area etc are quite run down and in desperate need of a make over. We only used it once and if we had only access to this we wouldn’t have been happy. The swim up areas are kept in much better condition. The pool bar is also run down and needs renewing asap. Daytime snacks, chips and pizza look a mess too. Collecting towels from reception every other is a nightmare aswell. The reception is a long walk from the main areas and a steep bank. This needs to be change and a golf buggy is required for arrival when you have bags. Lots of people will struggle with this and it’s not what you want on arrival. Akron has a few nice touches. Bring walked around the grounds on arrival is lovely and the location is amazing. All the staff are great, they really are very nice people. All in all a good stay. We will return to Sidari it is a great place but Akron needs a good renovation before we return.

Where do I start we arrived in early hours and put right next reception and the people I was with had walking difficulties as the hotel was advised regarding this before we came but all amenities where up the big hill this hotel is not disability friendly On several occasions we complained regarding the toaster as it was not working and at the end of the holiday the toaster still did not work and for a 4 start hotel I would expect a simple thing like a toaster to be working but they did not bother to get it fixed Restaurant overall the food was disgusting out the whole 14 days I think there was only 2 days out of 14 that we enjoyed Bar The bar staff made us welcome and where busy and hard working all the time but there was of the bar staff that let the bar down he was putting the prices up all the time he was the bar man with black nail polish I found him to be very lazy when all the other staff worked hard What I thought of the hotel it was clean and the staff worked hard the hotel was clean and rooms where cleaned every day If your are booking with people that have disability then I would stay clear of this hotel as there is a steep hill to all the amenities
