Akrotiri Beach

We (family of 4 including 2 teenagers) had 4 nights here - the middle part of our Corfu holiday, starting in the old town then finishing at Ikos Odisia. We loved it from the moment we arrived - a real feeling of luxury, extremely friendly staff, good food (especially lunch by the pool) and lots of lovely areas to sit on loungers (by the pool was a favourite/also looking out onto the beach later on in the day). Pool was perfect temperature and size, with lovely views out to sea. We ate in Akron 3 nights out of 4 - the restaurant (with which the hotel is affiliated) on the beach (highly recommended - hotel sorted it out for us). Other guests were really friendly - one couple recommended a restaurant called Monastre, which we'd never heard of, so we booked for that night (only a 5 min taxi ride away) and felt so grateful to them as it really was so special. The kids thought they'd like La Grotta beach bar just up the road but it was too hectic, even for them! Lovely bars on the walk there though - so we went there for a cocktail a couple of times, which we enjoyed. You do put your life in your hands walking on the street outside though - be warned! Very good shop opposite - amazing value to top up for sunscreen and we got two great inflatables for the pool too. Run by a lovely couple. Our family room was nice - not amazing - but nice. We'd probably ask for a different one next time as we were right by the exit for the pool so lots of people walking past our outside area (some stopping to ask us directions - which was not an issue, but some people might like more privacy). All in all, a faboulous experience - and surprisingly nice to be in a hotel for over-12s now that we don't have younger kids.

We had seen this place on TikTok and booked directly to get the best deal. If you book directly, then you will get free airport transfers included in your price. We stayed at this hotel for a week and were overall very pleased with our experience. Firstly, the food. The breakfast every day was very tasty with plenty of options for whatever you fancying that day. We had dinner once in the hotel which was the buffet which you can pay a set price for and the food was very tasty. I will say that there are lots of restaurants nearby that you should try outside of the hotel. Secondly, the beaches and pools. There is a sandy beach, a rocky beach and a separate pool which all have sunbeds. As long as you’re up at a decent time, you won’t struggle to get a bed in one of these locations however if you would like a bath at the Rocky Beach, I would suggest putting a towel down before 9 am. Thirdly, the location. The hotel is well located with lots of activities and restaurants for you to visit nearby. The hotel staff will also help arrange things such as taxis or water sports which was really helpful. The only reason I did not give this five stars was because of our checkout situation. We were aware of the checkout time is 11 am however we’re hopeful that we would get a late checkout but it appears that no one gets a late checkout in this hotel. If you are typically hotel, I would recommend ensuring you do not have a late night flight home as you will have to use the pool showers and the facilities for getting ready by the pool are not the best.

So many good things about the hotel. The beauty of it, the fantastic views from all corners of the hotel, the great service from all the staff and manager and the location. There is so much more good things about this hotel, if you haven’t booked the hotel then go at least and visit it restaurant Liston Bar. Their food was really tasty, and the show were nice to see during some time in the week. Extra star for the location which was close to La grotta, Akron Bar and the bus stop which goes to Corfu Town (pay only 2.50 euro per person). Thanks for the experience of this hotel, worth every penny and more than that. Will surely visit this hotel if I come back to Corfu!

We’ve just returned from dinner at Liston Bar. Despite not being guests my family of 5 was welcomed with open arms by the delightful staff especially Alexia and Christina. They were kind and inviting. Our meal was absolutely delicious. Especially the lamb, chicken, seafood pasta, and the burata salad. We then had desert of baklava and lemon pie and both were amazing. The view over the cliff tops and ocean is breathtaking. There was also live jazz music. All in all an amazing experience- highly recommend!
