Akrotiri Beach

After one week of staying at Kanoni we have changed for the second week to the Akrotiri Beach Hotel at Paleokastritsa. We can recommend the hotel very much. First to the room: We stayed in a south side facing room over the breakfast area. The view is amazing. Room was ready early when we checked in. The room was cleaned every day very good by the staff. The only thing was that we wanted to keep the very nice towels for the next day to save a bit of water. There was no chance, they changed it every day. The bed was comfortable and we slept very well. Because it was not really hot, we could sleep with open doors. The noise from the breakfast area was not much, we were not disturbed in the morning. What we liked the most is the beautiful bathroom, shower pressure was good and the shampoo, gels and lotions from the highest qualitiy. We appreciated that very much! If you choose south or north it is your decision. South with morning sun and shadow from the afternoon, north with sun from mid of the day. The breakfast selection is really good, you have every day different selection of bread and pastries. And many things like fresh fruits and more. They only thing we didn't like was the Orange Juice machine: The mixtures of Orange paste and water was not as good as we expected. If you don't drink the orange juices immediately you have to stir it with your spoon because it is divided. Finally there is the time for the breakfast buffet: You can eat up to 10:45 and even then they are only smoothly announcing that the buffet is closing in 10 minutes!!! Our experience with the hotel staff was grateful: Everyone in this hotel greets you and assists you if you need it. Check In was very, very friendly. Nikoleta reminds me from the last year when I stayed at Kanoni, she worked there before. Don't worry if you have a rental car and the parking space seems to be full: They will always find a solution for you, you just have to give them the key and they do it for you. Valet Parking like in the United States, but without of the costs of $40 or higher :-) That is Greece, the home of hospitality! We also want to say thank you to greek manager in the evening and his lovely two daughters which are working also in the hotel and were speaking fluently German as they grew up there. We would recommend this hotel if you like to stay at a wonderful place with some of the friendliest staff we ever had in Greece. Urs and Evelyn

Lovely hotel with great staff in a beautiful location. This hotel is perched on a hill above the beach - sun lounges overlook the beach on one side, on the other side of the hotel is access to a ‘rocky beach’ and the swimming pool. Breakfast was included in my rate and it was a comprehensive full buffet breakfast. My room overlooked the beach and it was a magnificent view. Very clean maintained rooms. I definitely recommend booking this hotel.

This is a wonderful resort! I wish we could have stayed longer! The hotel itself is beautiful and spotless, with incredible views on each side. The breakfast buffet is amazing and the food at the restaurant was delicious. All the staff were super friendly and helpful. It's in the perfect location if you're looking to relax on a beautiful, private beach - only about a half hour drive from the airport and Corfu Town (which can easily be reached by bus - the stop is just a few steps from the hotel entrance). Note that if you want to rent a car, you can book through the hotel for a better price. The hotel offers activities/events guests can sign up for - we went to the Olive Oil Tasting with Vasia (who was terrific!) and learned alot - including how delicious olive oil is on vanilla ice-cream! We highly recommend this hotel and are already looking forward to our return!!

I think this could be the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in - and I have stayed in a few! I knew paleokastritsa was beautiful but I was not prepared for how stunning this hotel is. The views are utterly spectacular from wherever you are in the hotel. The staff are so friendly without being intrusive. You can feel yourself relax as soon as you walk into the beautifully scented hotel entrance. There is space everywhere - even in peak season I suspect this will still feel the same way. My primary focus when booking was actually to find somewhere with good vegan options. I spent a long time searching ‘vegan’ in all the trip advisor reviews so thank you to the lady who posted a positive review about how this hotel catered for her vegan relative. We booked half board and every morning and evening, the wonderful Spiros showed my daughter round the buffet to point out all the vegan options and often made her a bespoke dish and desserts that were works of art and tasted amazing. They could not have been more accommodating to her needs. Thank you Spiros and the chefs and in fact all the staff who were brilliant. We had lunch at the beach bar near the hotel - nicer than any exclusive Ibiza beach club - and also the one by the main paleokastritsa beach. If you had a meal at either of these places then, as Akrotiri beach hotel guests, you get free use of the beach beds (with mattresses about twice the depth of a normal plush sunbed!) Would also recommend lunch and an afternoon at la grotto just along the road. Look it up on here and you won’t be disappointed. I am definitely coming back here. There is literally nothing negative I can think of to say about it.
