We recently stayed at this hotel and had a mix of positive and negative experiences. Pros: • The hotel was clean and welcoming. • The reception staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. • The porter service was excellent. • The air conditioning in the bedroom was effective and much appreciated. • The swimming pool was lovely, though it did get crowded with ball games, which wasn’t always welcome. • The pool barman Muhammad was nice and remembered our drinks, and the food, especially lunch by the pool bar, was fresh and delicious. Cons: • The pool bar service could be improved by offering hot drinks separately to avoid holding up the queue. • The food in the evening was limited. While the roasts and meats were amazing, the choices were not extensive, and fresh pizzas created queues as they were only made when trays were empty. • The restaurant lacked air conditioning, making it uncomfortable. We often had to set our own table, and the drink service was poor. Some tables received attentive service with bottles of wine, while we were left to fend for ourselves. • Wardrobe space was non-existent, so we lived out of our suitcases for the entire two weeks. • Despite reporting a broken door lock, it was not resolved during our stay. • The cleaner was inconsistent, and after asking her to come back later, we didn’t see her again. • The dessert station was a nightmare for those with allergies, with limited signage and shared cutlery. When asked about allergies, the staff seemed confused. • The salads and cheese stations were often sweaty and surrounded by flies in the evening, although lunchtime food was the best. We were looking forward to a beach holiday, on the second day my partner had cut his legs on the rocks and my son had slipped getting off the pedalo with no support from the organisers. We were really disappointed with the beach, we all took beach shoes but struggled to get into the sea without harming ourselves. Rooms were in need in decorating, our balcony had paint flaking and bathroom was very old. We used the bus a couple of times, this was rammed and we struggled to get a taxi home but this was peak time and to be expected. All inclusive plus wasn’t exactly that either, staff seemed annoyed when we asked for the branded drinks - which were either “unavailable” or hidden, very limited food, there were pancakes but one is given and that’s your lot. Very limited access to drinks. Overall, while the hotel has potential and I would recommend it but several aspects need improvement. The service in the restaurant, in particular, was a significant letdown for us. Despite these issues, we enjoyed parts of our stay but felt the 5-star rating was not justified compared to English standards.
