My son and I stayed here for 3 nights and visited the surrounding areas like Coba, Punta Laguna and (slightly further away) Valladolid. Perfect base in the jungle with clean grounds and rooms and friendly people. Still there are some flaws I need to mention and they all have to do with not being really used to tourism I guess. I don't mind spending extra money for good coffee, but if it's too much trouble to have some extra toast (which happend with one of the breakfast guys..he had to ask if that is ok) that is a big negative thing. Really, if you present yourself as a 4-star boutique hotel don't budget on bread! Also, late at night I had to ask if the outside lights could be switched off as too much light in the room and on the check-out day the cleaner came at 10 (room until 12) so had to send him away again. Just bad flaws which are not supposed to happen in my opinion.
