Bad Hosts and Terrible Experience

DO NOT STAY HERE! Especially if the hosts are Lili, Christian and Nety. They are scammers and will take your money while your amenities are insufficient. I have pictures and videos of my stay, which was less than 24 hours due to the multiple issues to include: dirty underwear and clothes left behind, inoperable tvs, a leak in the bathroom from the ceiling and the walls, towel rack falling off the wall, no hot water, no cold a/c in one of the rooms, exposed outlets, rooftop deck with loose wood planks and holes, and the water went completely out the first evening. After asking to check out early and for a partial refund, the hosts decided to blame and gaslight me stating that I was being unreasonable, and wanted the “perfect accommodation” because these were “small issues”. Now, I am going through an Airbnb dispute with them because they are trying to say my family caused the issues in their home, instead of being professional and responsible hosts and owning up to their inadequacies. We checked out after 16 hours and finished our vacation at Reef28 right down the street. Do not stay here.

I want to rebut some of the negative reviews. We did not find this place scruffy at all, the water effects throughout the complex were calming, not smelly. The towels are fine, and the curtains do close. Maybe there was an upgrade since some of the older reviews? Anyway, no complaints at all for our 2025 trip. The swim-up bard was a nice surprise. Pool was lovely. And then the location was great. A short walk to the beach and also a short walk back into the bustling pedestrian zone. We got 2 bedroom condo. Very spacious and clean. We would definitely stay at Aldea Thai again. There are some beautiful penthouse condos on the roof of the hotel with a private deck. Might try one of those next time.

wish we knew before we booked

Even though our unit was close to the beach we had to either rent beach chairs for 50 us a day or use a resturant f0r about 150 us aday and buy food and drink from them. then you got a credit for food and drink but the food was not good. we ended up buying chairs from walmart but had to leave them there. it was a pain having to carry them down everyday.I would never stay there again. Some people brougght camping chairs that would fit in their suitcase. Over all had a terrible time on this holiday

This was a great location for our family trip. The local beach was awesome. The restaurants in the area were great. It is an easy walk to the main shopping road. The staff was easy to work with and quick to help us hen asked. The buildings were clean.
