Very professional staff, very relaxing facilities, beautiful view that my wife enjoyed. If there were any negative points, it would be the sargassum on the beach. But overall, it's a very good hotel and very private area.

A bit cramped

We stayed 6 days after travelling round Mexico. The hotel is quiet enough the rooms adequate the food good but there isn’t much space to relax. A small decked area in front of the swim up pool rooms has 8 sun beds. The beach is rocky , it is possible to walk 150 yds to lie on the sand in front of other properties. The service is slow and occasionally problematic , I hate being reminded by waiters that service is not included every time we have breakfast, a drink etc. but perhaps that’s just a UK thing. The restaurant/bar area is next to reception so no sea views. I wouldn’t class this as a 5star resort.

This is a place to relax and unwind The staff is very friendly, go above and beyond. The hotel room is very clean. The views are breathtaking. kayaking is available in premises. I highly recommend to eat breakfast, as the menu has many options 😋

We loved staying at Alea Tulum! We had booked the penthouse suite which had breathtaking view of the ocean and a private pool / sun beds to our disposal. The staff are very courteous and helpful. They also have equipment for kayaks and other water activities

Alea Tulum is a twenty-one suite's modern boutique hotel located four miles from the Tulum archaeological site, and is nestled between the Bay of Tankah, the lush jungle, and an enchanting mangrove. Divided in several room categories, some of the suites are suitable for couples and other for families up to four persons. The bay is a perfect location for relaxing and enjoying the natural surroundings, complimentary activities as snorkeling, kayaking and paddle board are available as well as two tempered swimming pools. Cooked to order American breakfast is included in all room rates and is served in its Authentic Mexican Cuisine restaurant where Mexican delicacies are also served for lunch and dinner in 2 dining ambiances including one al-fresco. All suites are equipped with an indoor and an outdoor seating area, 43" flat screen with digital TV channels, Nespresso machine, complimentary minibar, security safe, bathrobes, amenities. Video conferencing capacity Hi-speed Wi-Fi is free in all the property.
