Top hotel. Staff super friendly. Food decent. Alhambra pleasant. Shout out to Carlos though my Spanish G. Top guy. Serves everyone with a smile without expecting anything in return so felt obliged to give him a shout out. Great week in ibiza.

This is my first time in Ibiza and I was a bit sceptical with the reputation that it has, but travelling with my partner out of season was a good decision. The location of the hotel, and the area itself, are great, no complaints there. Right along the beach front, supermarkets in either direction when you leave the hotel, and Charlie's bar, if that's your thing (thankfully, it's closed currently until next month, I'm happy about that, as I've heard it's very noisy until 4am) and in truth the sound-proofing of the room isn't great, you can hear everything outside and above you. We are staying in a junior suite with a sea view and the view is amazing, just one floor up above the restaurant which provides a lot of entertainment at breakfast time watching the seagulls swoop down and steal any food they can find that is left unattended. Breakfast selection is quite good, everything you would expect from omelettes to pastries and everything else in-between. Don't leave going to the restaurant too late for dinner in the evening though, go before 8pm for sure, as it gets very busy very quickly with Spanish pensioners who have no concept on how to queue and are in their droves with rudeness. Still, the food selection is still good all round, even the desserts. The all-inclusive is worth the money, the cocktails are freshly made, even if that means a bit of a wait when it gets busy. Some of the bar staff serve based on nationality first, rather than who got their first, we noticed. If you're staying in a suite, you get access to a reserved area, with plenty of private sunbeds and an infinity pool. Use the term "reserved" loosely though, as they seemingly make no checks on who enters this area, which is a little frustrating if you pay for this privilege and anybody wonders in over there. In the suite itself, there is plenty of space, a big balcony with two sunbeds and two chairs, and a table. A big TV with a few basic UK channels, a big comfy king size bed, and an open-plan bathroom area with separate shower and toilet cubicles. Honestly, I've seen many people complain about the lack of privacy and general design of this. I don't get why people are complaining, personally. The design is supposed to be different, and they make no secret of that, it's very obvious when booking that it is this way, so why book something knowing about this and then complain about it? If you're not comfortable enough with this, or the people/person you're travelling with to exist in this kind of design, then don't go. For me, it's a nice change from the norm and I welcome the design. There is a free fridge and a safe also. The only issue I have overall with the hotel are the cleaning standards. When we checked in to the room, there was a lot of old hair on the floor of the balcony, and in the shower. A few days later and it's still there. The cleaners don't even wipe the balcony table over. Also, our balcony door didn't lock, but we reported this and the next day maintenance had fixed the issue. The restaurant could also do with a better cleaning plan, there's often food and wrappers on the floor, as well as a knife which I've seen there during the entirety of my stay here. But apart from a few small gripes, this is a relaxed, nice, conformable experience that I would return to in the future. Definitely enjoyed my time here.

Despite this being a fabulous hotel, I have to deduct one star for what I felt was quite a big issue which I will explain later. The staff are amazing - from the cleaners to the wait staff and those on reception. Each and every one of them were wonderful. The rooms were lovely. We didn't have a sea view, didn't request one as we only really sleep in the room. They are cleaned to a high standard each day. The room key is great - you literally scan your wristband which is really really convenient and is the first hotel that we have been to that lets you open your room this way. The food was good. Regular breakfast items, lunches and dinners were available along with wonderful dessert selections of cakes, mousses and fresh fruit. We always found plenty of choice. The location has a lovely sea view in front of the hotel. We hired a car to see the whole island. The hotel recommends Class for car hire, however we found these to be absolutely useless. When they eventually bothered to acknowledge us they found it amusing when we asked if they had any cars available. A simple no we don't have any would have done, but we didn't need to be made to feel stupid for asking the question. For any car hire requests, I can highly recommend Turbo. They have plenty of cars and mopeds available. Stay away from Class at all costs. Now for the one-star deduction - the bathroom. This layout really needs changing because it was a big negative for me. It's pretty much open plan with a separate toilet and then separate shower and frosted doors on both. You have nowhere to put clothes for when you've had your shower, there is no room. It is literally just the shower. I like to take everything in and get dressed in the bathroom but you can't even hang a towel, you have to drape it over the top of the door - or leave it outside and walked naked and dripping into the main room. But the worse thing is, because the door is frosted, anyone laying on the bed, or even just in the room, can see everything. There is only a tiny bit of separation from the main part of the room to the shower and toilet. Thankfully the toilet is is far back so you can't see anyone using it through the frosted door, but the shower - everything is on view. When you've managed to drag your towel off the top of the door, you have to step into the main room and get dried and dressed. There is no privacy whatsoever. I saw reviews on Tripadvisor about this when I was looking at the hotel, but thought it would be fine - but it really wasn't. That is the only negative for me. On the last day, we checked out at 12 and were able to use the hotel and facilities until we needed to catch the flight home. We ate lunch and sat by the pool for the rest of the time we had left. It really is a beautiful hotel. So clean. The team do such a fantastic job and all the staff cannot do enough for you. If it wasn't for the bathroom I would have certainly given five-stars.

We had a lovely 3 nights here at AluaSoul for my birthday. We were told it was the start of the season and the hotel had just opened. Check in was painfully slow. The queue was huge and we were worried we would miss dinner so we were offered after a while to put our luggage in the storage room. However when we came back and tried to get our room keys we had to join the long queue again. Some guests were offered champagne flutes of blue drink when they checked in but we weren’t. The room was lovely- we had an amazing sea view at the front of the hotel and it was quiet. We could have sat on the balcony all day. Also had a great time cheering on the Ibiza marathon which took place on the Saturday we were there. It is unusual that the cost of the safe is not included in the price. We didn’t pay for this. The tourist tax was 10 euros per room for 3 nights. Shower gel, hand soap, towels etc are provided. As others have said, the toilet/shower setup is very strange and it wasn’t ideal being able to see/hear my other half using the toilet. The food was great at the hotel. There was loads of choice at breakfast, lunch and dinner. It was fresh and hot and plentiful. We particularly liked the show cooking sections, fresh salads, bread and desserts. There are non dairy milks available. During meals you can go in to the restaurant for a snack eg burgers, chicken nuggets, salad, chips. It is a bit strange that free bottled water is not available but you can get a glass of water at the restaurant. It was also a bit of a pain that if you wanted to sunbathe you had to rent the hotel towels- which involved yet another queue at reception, where I was then told to “go and find the pool attendant but he might be on his lunch”. Also, I went to sit on one of the cabanas to read a book and I was asked to move by the pool attendant who told me it would be 20 euros to rent it tomorrow. This was a cold windy day and there was nobody round the pool. The indoor pool was tiny and with 4 of us in there it felt very cramped. It was lovely and warm though. The sauna and Turkish bath hadn’t been switched on and they looked like they needed a good clean. My other half used the gym and said it was good. The cocktails tasted like nail varnish but the pink gin was included in the all inclusive which was great for me. My other half said the beer was awful so he enjoyed the local spirits and mixers. Entertainment was hit and miss. Awful singer on the Thursday but fab on the Friday and Saturday with some people getting up to dance. The entertainment rep was fab and we joined in with bingo which was a laugh. Lots of games and books available if you just want to chill in the lobby. We had a good time at the local restaurant the Marvent- highly recommend. Maybe the hotel is just starting to find its feet with just opening for the new season but clearly there is a lot of work still to do. However we would probably come back especially for the price we paid.

So if you requested a sea Veiw be prepared as that’s not what you get. You will get a partial sea Veiw facing a very noisy bar. So when booking you need to ask for ask for a FRONTAL sea view. On our arrival and checking our room out, it cost us an extra few hundred pound to have a frontal sea view room on top of the restaurant😤. Been to Ibiza 5 times and this area worst stay ever and nothing to do. Peeps Smoking in and at the pool side and so on. One thing the lovely lady who did the entrainment was fantastic. Will never return.
