Official Description

Ideal for beach vacationers, this resort is situated in Cala d'Or, in a quiet area right by the sea. It is about 2 miles to the center. The nearest shops are about 2 miles away. The complex was modernized in 2017. The complex has 8 junior suites, 10 suites and 353 double rooms. The friendly staff at the reception desk are happy to answer any questions. Services and facilities include a currency exchange service, a car rental service, medical assistance, 24-hour room service (for a fee) and a laundry service. Wireless internet access (no extra charge) allows guests to stay connected while on vacation. The hotel has wheelchair-accessible facilities and 4 elevators. A garden provides extra space for rest and relaxation in the open air. Air conditioning ensures that rooms maintain comfortable temperatures. Most of rooms include a balcony or terrace as a standard feature. Valuables can be securely stored in a safe. Guests will also find a mini fridge included among the standard features. It’s set in a stunning little bay

We have just returned from a fantastic holiday at this hotel. It’s a simple one really yes it’s not a 5* I would describe it as a high 4. The staff are all amazing and make your stay very easy. Thanks to Moi and Lucas The food options are variable and we managed to find a meal (starters main desert) if needed most nights,as we did go out to eat as well.Can highly recommend 17 at Cala d’or. My best Tip is definitely book the ‘my favourite club’ the extra bar and sun lounge area with dip pool is definitely worth that little extra for a more boujee feel. All in all the hotel is clean and modern with a nice vibe.

Overall great but the gym was a massive let down and this was the decider for me from images on the website

Trip was decided for me on how great the gym looked but this area was massively let down, no canopy meant that training at anytime other than first thing or last thing in the day was unbearable, the dumbells were too hot to pick up, there was no shade to workout in, the run track was rippled and full of bird foul causing a trip hazard. The wall ball unable to touch as they were black and the heat baled on them all day. There was only 5 sets of weight which were used very quickly, the jump box in poor condition. Only x1 kettle bell, the rig is damgerous as when doing pull ups the bar has had spot welds on top (pictured) which my friend cut his hand on. Wall ball pad was way too low, the battle ropes looked as though they were to snap at any moment, there was X1 single skipping rope that had snapped and been tied, only X1 set of bar bell clamps The hotel itself was clean and tidy and the staff were great, food was good and the beach/pool were clean. There as steps you have to go up and down constantly to get from the pool to the lift which I saw daily being an issue for elderly people, a new right of access near the balcony of the restaurant would massively help this. The restaurant views are unreal and worth every penny looking out, food was of good standard too.

Lovely hotel

Great hotel, lovely staff and great location. Food very impressive, but all drinks are not all included in the cost. The only real negative for me is the Gym. It's an outdoor gym with very little traditional gym equipment, such as cross trainer, rower, and running machine. I always like to use the Gym when on holiday but was very disappointed with this gym .

Wonderful hotel in a beautiful setting, no sun bed wars there is a sun deck other side of path down to beach that isn't blatantly obvious it belongs to the hotel but it does and is great if you don't want to hang around the pool food is great massive choice beautiful cakes for desert. Big thank you to all the staff kitchen,bar, room service and reception all friendly all helpful

Lovely little hotel

We are currently here for 7 nights. The staff are very friendly, attentive and engaging. We are on all inclusive and preferred club. The food is really good. Breakfast at the preferred club is beautifully presented with lots of choice and there is also buffet style bread, yoghurts, fruit and pastries. We ate dinner in the buffet restaurant 4 nights. Again lots of choice, with veggie options, amazing salad and fruit choices. We went to the Italian, Grill and Mediterranean for the remaining 3 nights. The starters and desserts were help yourself buffet type and the main courses were chosen from the menu a la carte wise. Really lovey food and the service was impeccable. The rooms are ok. They are very small compared to other places we have stayed in. The toilet especially is very small and not much room for your legs. It is a tight squeeze to sit down. The shower and sink water is very salty. You can’t really get a good lather in the shower and don’t feel squeaky clean after a shower. There is a kettle and coffee machine. We used bottle water for these. Rooms are well cleaned and bedding and towels,changed regularly. The balcony has chairs and a table. Air con is good and stays on all day. Room key is on your wrist band. The only complaint I have is the all inclusive drinks. A lot of drinks are not included in the all inclusive which was very unusual for us. Normally all inclusive, includes all drinks. Half the cocktails you have to pay for if you want a particular one. Cava is included in the all inclusive. Milk shakes, frappes are not included. A frappe was €8. Cider is not included, nor was iced coffee. The preferred club lounge is lovely. There are snacks, and canned drinks and a water machine. The beach is very small. I would describe it as a cove rather than a beach. It is open to the public and is very crowded. You don’t have to pay for the sun beds there, but gets really busy with non guests. Is a beach is important , then don’t choose here. We went out and about. There are shops, bars and restaurants a few minutes walk from the hotel in the village. On a Thursday evening there is a market. You can get the tourist train to some areas from outside the hotel. Transfer time from airport was about 45 minutes in a private transfer.
