I don’t typically leave negative reviews, but I want to share our experience so others can make an informed decision. My husband and I stayed here during our honeymoon. We chose this property because of its smaller size and premium positioning, expecting a more personalized experience. I had called ahead to inform the hotel of my food allergies and to note that we were celebrating our honeymoon. Upon arrival, there was no acknowledgment of the occasion. After we mentioned it, a chocolate cake was sent to our room, despite my having previously informed the hotel of my chocolate allergy. The following morning at breakfast, I found a hair baked inside a donut. It was not on the surface but inside the pastry. I notified staff immediately and shared photos. The manager apologized and offered a complimentary massage, which we appreciated and enjoyed. Later that evening, after returning to our room, we discovered visible red stains on the pillowcases and sheets when turning down the bed. Housekeeping was contacted, and staff responded, but this added to our concerns about cleanliness and quality control. Communication throughout the stay was inconsistent. We were told a director would follow up with us, but we did not receive further contact. The villa is next to a scooter road and is noisy at night. The water pressure in the room is also very weak and toilet stopped working. We paid over $400 per night and expected a level of service and attention to detail consistent with that rate. While there were positives — including a well-equipped gym and an excellent massage — the overall experience did not meet our expectations for a honeymoon stay. I hope this feedback is helpful to both future guests and hotel management.
