Peaceful Sunrise

Our stay at Amber Light Villas was nothing short of magical. Tucked away from the crowds but still close enough to everything, this place offered the perfect mix of peace, privacy, and unbelievable beauty. One of the absolute highlights? The sunrise. Every morning, we woke up to the most breathtaking view—the sky slowly turning shades of pink, orange, and gold as the sun rose over the Aegean. Watching that light spill across the cliffs from our terrace was a moment of pure serenity we’ll never forget. No filter needed. Just nature doing its thing. The villa itself was gorgeous—spacious, beautifully designed, and spotless. Everything felt high-end yet comfortable, with details that made it clear the staff cares deeply about the guest experience. From the cozy bed to the private pool and luxurious bath products, it was the kind of place you instantly settle into. Breakfast was served right on our terrace, and it was such a treat. Fresh, delicious, and customizable—everything from Greek yogurt with honey to eggs, fruit, and warm pastries. Starting our day with that view, a fresh breeze, and great food? Yes, please. The staff were also incredible—professional, kind, and always happy to help with recommendations or arrangements. They truly made us feel at home. If you’re looking for a peaceful Santorini stay with soul-stirring sunrise views and a touch of luxury, Amber Light Villas is it. We left feeling refreshed, inspired, and already dreaming about coming back.

Amber light villas ruined my honeymoon !!

It was the worst experience ever!! I decided to spend my honeymoon in Amber light hotel, but unfortunately when We arrived to the hotel we found that it is not a honeymoon destination at all. It’s very poor hotel, old furniture, not clean private pools full of dead insects and the water is super cold we didn’t even able to use the pool, the location of the hotel is too far of everything you must have a car, poor food quality, no any services in the hotel after 11 pm all is closed, and no even near by services or restaurants as the hotel is on the top of a mountain with no easy access to taxi or uber. they ruined my honeymoon vacation in santorini :( We decided to move to other hotel in the downtown, but we already paid full payments to Amber light villas, we tried to friendly contact the management team to refund us at least half of the money but they refused and they were not helpful at all. I don’t recommend going there.

Spoiled by our stay

Romantic and well appointed hotel on the quiet side of Santorini where we were treated to beautiful sunrises from our balcony. We had a hire car so location was not an issue - note it’s not walkable to attractions - but is in a quiet hilly spot. Comfortable large room with king-sized bed and separate lounge area. Complimentary breakfast buffet which we ate on the patio was a nice way to start the day. There was a good sized resort style pool - which we didn’t use as we lazed in our jacuzzi on our balcony instead.

Quiet retreat

Intimate, private and quiet setting to enjoy the island. Friendly service, rooms are well maintained and appointed with all the necessities. Restaurant is tasty, breakfast offers a nice variety. Demetrius at the bar/restaurant was super friendly and attentive. Pool is NOT heated but was beautiful. This was a nice way to ease into our Greek Island experience. Of note is that you need either a car or to pay for taxi service to access anything else on the island. You cannot walk to other restaurants or sites. Front desk was happy to assist with transfers just know you need to give notice and include transfers in your planning. 2-3 nights was plenty at this island retreat.
