Complete disappointment not worth to be called 5 star hotel

We were very disappointed with the Andaz Hotel, and our vacation was ruined. It doesn't meet the standards of a five-star hotel. The photos don't match reality. The lobby is very small and dark, although it appears spacious and bright in the photos. The rooms are like dark boxes, with windows overlooking a construction site, the road, and neighboring houses. There may be rooms with bay views, but they are very few. They are mostly condominium rooms without balconies, which is surprising for a five-star hotel. The entrance to the hotel is simply terrible; you can't enter directly; you have to walk a long way around and enter along the road with incoming cars, which is very dangerous. The biggest delusion is that there’s no access to the beach, and it turns out the hotel doesn't have its own. The beach in the photo belongs to nearby residences, and to get there, you have to wait for a resident to open the door or go around the construction site, parking lot, and nearby houses. All the sun loungers and sunbeds on the beach belong to the residence residents, so Andaz guests have to pay a fee. The water in the bay is dirty, and few people swim, and the nearby cafes are noisy and smell of food and alcohol. But the biggest disappointment is the food. The selection is very limited and poor, the food is tasteless. The baked goods, muffins and croissants, are mostly bought at the nearby supermarket; there are no other baked goods. The only vegetables are cucumbers and tomatoes and one type of greens. The only fruit is chopped fruit salad, which has already left a nice aftertaste. There's no meat at all, just sausage and hot dogs. But after most people checked out after Eid, the breakfast selection was reduced by a third, removing vegetables, greens, cheese, and even boiled eggs, which are the basis of any breakfast. I travel a lot, but I've never seen such a terrible experience and didn't even imagine something like this was possible on the Palm in Dubai. I'm completely disappointed with this hotel. I don't recommend it and would even warn you not to stay here to prevent disappointment.

Not a 5 star hotel

We stayed at the hotel for 10 days and here are our conclusions. After the end of the 2026 holiday, the buffet restaurant drastically reduced its menu and food selection by half, and the price for breakfast and accommodation remained unchanged after half the guests checked out, which I consider unacceptable for the guests currently staying at the hotel. The service is extremely poor and the hotel is completely unfocused. The hotel managers have no experience resolving guest complaints. As for the room cleaning, it was extremely mediocre and of poor quality. For example, glasses that were used were either not replaced or washed and were put back on the shelf as if they were new. I can also add that the hotel doesn't have a beach within walking distance. Due to renovations, a special access card is required to access the beach. You have to go around the construction site and the closed fence, which takes 15 minutes. Don't trust the photos the hotel publishes. The beach in the photos actually belongs to the residents of the neighboring building. The beach is dirty and unpleasant. Overall, we regret choosing this hotel.

Amazing stay in the hotel!

Although we had some issues in the bathroom, the problem was sorted immediately same day. We miss the balcony in our room, but other all, we had an amazing stay in Andaz. Food was delicious with variety to choose. Our girls were spoiled with attention from the staff, and in the day of my daughter's birthday they just made it very special and rememberable. Thank you to each member of staff!

Incredible Staff

We could not have asked for more from this incredible staff during the start of the Iran war when Dubai was impacted too. They all took amazing care of us and kept a cheerful demeanor through our 3 nights there. The food was excellent, rooms and hotel so clean and great location. Thank you all for everything you did to make my birthday celebration as good as it could be under difficult circumstances. Bravo to all!
