As a long-time, loyal customer of Samed Resorts Group, I would first like to commend the mainland team. The luggage staff, parking attendants, and receptionists on the mainland provided excellent service, as always. Unfortunately, our experience on the island was highly disappointing. Given the high room rates, we expected a much higher standard. Compared to our previous stays, the quality of both food and service has severely declined. I would like to provide constructive feedback on three specific issues: 1. Poor Dinner Quality at Breeze Restaurant Upon arrival, we booked a BBQ dinner and ordered the grilled meat skewers (680++ THB). When the food was served, the grilled vegetables and jacket potato were cold. We informed the staff, and while the vegetables improved on the second attempt, the meat was of terrible quality. It was so tough that even a steak knife could not cut through it. The sauce also lacked flavor. Furthermore, the jacket potato was clearly boiled, not baked or roasted as advertised. 2. Unhygienic Breakfast Utensils During breakfast, I grabbed a fresh glass from the station only to find a prominent lipstick stain on the rim. This raises serious concerns about the resort's cleanliness and dishwashing standards. 3. Rushed and Unprofessional Checkout Process At 11:00 AM, the front desk called to inform us that we had only 15 minutes to pack because the staff needed to pick up our luggage. They explained that due to strong waves, we had to take a car to the pier instead. While I completely understand and prioritize safety, I do not understand why we were given only a 15-minute notice, especially since we had pre-booked the 12:30 PM boat during check-in. When I stated that 15 minutes was not enough, the staff's tone became very harsh and aggressive, sternly giving us a strict deadline of 11:30 AM. It felt like we were being forced and rushed out of the resort. This process would not have been an issue at all if the resort had proactively informed us about this alternative bad-weather protocol during check-in. As returning guests, we cannot help but compare this experience to our wonderful past visits. We expected much more for the price we paid, and I hope management takes these issues seriously to restore the resort's standards.
