Official Description

The hotel is located on the island of Holbox in the area of protection of flora and fauna Yum Balam, is accessible by sea from Chiquilá, where guests can take a boat to cross the lagoon in a journey time of 20 minutes, all white sand streets and there are only a few cars. It has 7 practical and comfortable rooms with their own balcony overlooking the park and overlooking our courtyard, beach club has a 15 minute walk and chill-out bar with pool on the roof to enjoy the wonderful sunset .

Great value but could use some clean-up

The main selling point here is value. This hotel offered a nicer and bigger room, faster wifi and warmer shower than Amaite, which is 2 blocks down on the beach and costs 5X what this hotel costs. Location is on the central plaza, which can get a little noisy. There's no beach but its only a couple of minutes away and you can grab a lounger in one of a few dayclubs. The main issue I had with the hotel was the complete lack of amenities (they don't even have an iron) and the fact that I had to kill a couple of smaller cockroaches in my room. Other than that - great.

Best Location on The Island.

The owners and staff of this hotel are the most professional and nicest people you can meet.The room was huge and the balcony was a great bonus.We had a problem on the first day was sent to an exclusive resort for two nights with free breakfast,bottle of wine and transfers back and forth.The walk from the ferry is about 25-30 minutes.The hotel is situated right across from the square where all the action takes place,plus all the restaurants and bars.Beach is a five minute walk with good seafood restaurants at reasonable prices.

Bad bad service!

The location and the rooms are great, but its a shame that the front desk service is so bad. They treat you like they are doing you a favour. In 2 nights 3 different situations and the receptionist Wigelby it look like she is trained to fight with the guest. The internet and the fridge not working at all. Holbox is very different now, dirty, expensive and horrible service..
