Ariti Grand Hotel Corfu

Booked this hotel as arriving late and needed a hotel near airport- 10 mins in a taxi ! On arrival the lady on reception was lovely and very welcoming. The room was fine with great views- a little dated though. Breakfast was very samey but adequate and wouldn't liked to have been staying longer than the 2 days.All in all a good place for a couple of days but I felt it was overpriced for the standard of hotel

We had read the reviews for this hotel before we booked which were mixed but decided to give it a go. Here are The Good points: > Reception and bar staff lovely and helpful > Overall we found the hotel clean > Reception, terrace, pool and restaurant areas of a good standard. > The location has a lovely view over the lake > Location great for watching planes taking off and landing whilst having a drink on your balcony or on the terrace. > There is a regular bus into Corfu town that stops outside the hotel. Only 1.20 euros if tickets are bought in advance from the shop next door. So the location is convenient. Here are the bad points > Absolutely no interaction from the restaurant staff the 3 days we ere there. We had the all inclusive package and had to beckon a waiter over every time to ask for drinks with our meals. No one greets you on entry to the restaurant or checks that you have the right to eat there! No one comes round to see if you need anything or if everything is ok. The staff just stand at the kitchen door chatting in between clearing tables. That is not 4 star standard. > The food was buffet style and the quality is not very good at all. Everything was proceeded. Do not expect real bacon or good quality sausages. Vegetables tasted like they were frozen and not fresh. We ate out one day to avoid the food! The food was always barely warm even when we arrived one evening as they were opening. A very poor selection of Deserts. Nothing to get excited about. > The bedroom furniture is tired , old and needs replacing. > The noise of the planes can be noisy for sleep

location is nice and nice staff. however the hotel it’s self gives off a 2000’s vibes that has been poorly renovated. Rooms are tolerable, shower has good water pressure, aircon is bearable will keep the room moderately cool but won’t make you freeze to death. Beds on the other hand we had two singles which were extremely soft most likely due to the fact they were easily 10+ years old which made it feel extremely dirty especially the third bed which was damaged and covered in stains. Breakfast was around about average but that’s a personal opinion as everyone has their own taste. The pool was ok not very deep and was clearly lacking some TLC due to the flaking paint in the pool. The pool is also located inside a lot of trees and bushes so the amount of mosquitos you will get harassed by is unbelievable.
