Arora Hotel

We had a holiday in May 2024 to Eftalia Aqua Resort which was beyond our expectations, we thought we would try another part of Turkey in 2025 so booked the Arora Hotel Kusadasi and have been fighting the travel company and the hotel for a refund on just the hotel not the whole holiday as what we experienced was absolutely shocking, below are pictures and a list of what was wrong with the hotel, NEVER EVER would we return or recommend the hotel to anyone!!! ⚠️ You have been warned ⚠️ Property is run down, cracks in walls, rooms are dated •Broken tiles •Loose hand rails •Noisy air con that was supposedly fixed that day a day was still broken when we returned despite staff being adamant it had been fixed. •Food is diabolical - not fit for dogs! We hardly are in the hotel. Not once did we have breakfast after seeing what was available and we had to shop at the local SOK for provisions due to hunger and no water available unless purchased. •Broken hairdryer •Floor separating •Dirty sheet despite house keeping attending •Mould on bedding •Blood splatter on sheet and pillow case (not ours) •Broken elevator always being mended. •Fan in elevator broken •Some staff are over friendly (touchy feely) •Table tennis but ping pong balls, games you have to pay for •No mini bar even though all inclusive •Water is 2 bottles on arrival then pay for further bottles •Vanity units not secured in bedrooms •Fridges are full of ice but have no freezer •Lack of coat hangers only 3 some are broken •No tea or coffee provisions in rooms •2 paper cups in room on arrival no tea/coffee facilities •No extra pillows available on request •Hygiene is not great •Telephone in room does not work •Hand rails loose and broken around the hotel •The smaller pool was empty and dirty not as advertised on website •Beach is dirty littered with sea weed and rubbish, about 30ft long 20ft wide •No carpet in rooms as advertised •Swimming pool is not maintained regularly •Indoor pool area is dark and dingy not as advertised •Lower pool was empty until way into our second week, then it was filthy with broken sunbed area •WiFi cuts off and does not connect period sometimes •No evening entertainment as advertised in pictures. •There is no disco, just same music every night via the same person with a microphone and YouTube •Everything shuts off at 11pm so no drinks after 11pm •House keeping comes in folds duvet up, wipes floor over, new towels if youre lucky and goes, no nice bed decoration like other hotels we have been to in Türkiye •Lights behind and above the beds do not work •Dusty light shades by beds, cleaning is not on point •Loose door stopper just sat on the floor to stop door handle hitting the wall which already has damage to it. •Personal information left on the front desk for all to see •Bedroom curtain hook hanging off the wall •Bedroom curtain hanging off of the curtain rail •Kitchen staff smoking in the kitchen, this was seen but could not take any pictures due to being with staff members •Flushing the toilet then caused the sink to gurgle and the smell of raw sewage came up out of it. •Kids club is a shed by the pool of which children are made to stay in there and not allowed to leave. •Some staff too over friendly •Felt like a Turkish Haven site, definitely a hotel for foreign people, not even a handful of English people anywhere. The pictures added are just some of those that were taken. The hotel and holiday company took no responsibility at all. Had this been our first experience of Türkiye we would not have gone back, We hope to visit again but stick to the areas we know are nice. GOOD LUCK IF YOU STAY HERE!!!!

We were staying 10 days from 06.10-16.10 (2 adults plus 2kids) Place is terrible, very dirty rooms in bad condition and with no equipment to make life easier. We got room with the view on dirt and building construction, I died inside when I saw it in the morning ( we arrived in the night so I couldn't see anything around) It was raining 2 days and water was dripping loudly from ceiling waking us up. In the morning I asked to be moved, we got another room with the same horrible view, equally dirty, musty, dusty, I was using my flip flops all the time to don't get my feet dirty from sand and other debris. In the "new " room water was dripping also when was raining but in the shower so yay... improved 😆 I was hoping that at least we can spend nice time , they had sauna, inside pool , massage, Turkish bath, beach beside hotel , pool slide for kids .... nope... many things was out of order or abandoned. Slide was working twice a day for half and hour. Small pool beside the beech was full of some debris, leaves, little branches, bar beside is closed , nobody from staff was working in this area. Hotel beach its total disaster for at least 3 years (we meet people who was there 2 years ago and they said that this beach was in that condition that time as well , and nothing changed) You will see for Yourself, I will put photos... Area beside inside pool didn't invite for spending time in there, was deadly quiet, no music, little bar in the corner closed, couldn't get a drink... it was like going into the morgue... Wasn't pleasant spot to spend time , I couldn't stay there . And with the little effort that would be la ovely place for chill out... Turkish bath room had big mould on the ceiling, I just get in and get out... No animation in the evening, we asked sometimes for music so we could at least dance, make our own party.. Without asking they were turn off music 17.00 for example... There was nothing to do then, end of the evening. That was so sad and depressing... hotel is old , needs renovation and serious cleaning. I mean, It's not their fault that they had huge building construction just beside them...but they should do hotel as nice and inviting as possible, something for guests so they could spend time nicely and reallyenjoy the moment. In this hotel You can only stay beside the big pool with a cocktail all day - nothing else to add to Your day unfortunately. I never been in a hotel like this before..😅 I was speechless first 3 days of stay, I wanted go home. Food was good, I liked everything, probably not for English people because they use salt, pepper and herbs... dishes have proper taste. There was little selection but for me that was ok . For kids not so much ( they usually picky eaters) was very little in the menu, no chicken nuggets, no ice cream, no pizza ...fries were some days good, other days very dry and oily. They could do better for kids for sure. They could have pasta every day, sometimes pancakes, few times chicken burgers but that's it for the choice so we went for pizza to a restaurant . Staff was nice and friendly but they could not do much in the place that dying and bleeding slowly. Like my boyfriend said it was not All inclusive, it was All excuse me... Keep Your hard earned money and go somewhere else. They really need to decide if they want to keep this place or close it down permanently. It was a big rip off... All the photos and videos online shows something COMPLETELY DIFFERENT and this is just so wrong on many levels to deceiving people like that. Not ok at all... I was waiting for proper holidays 3 years, foe me it wasn't cheap. And this is what I got.. Enjoy the photos 😅 P.S. we meet amazing people so they save that time for us, we had some good fun. But not thanks to Aurora Hotel unfortunately.

We recently returned from our second stay at this hotel, hoping perhaps it had been refurbished since our last visit two years ago. Unfortunately, nothing had changed. The beach, snack bar, and pool remained dirty and in a poor state of repair—thankfully, they were not open during our stay. The beach itself was uninviting. Our accommodation was a not very clean duplex room sleeping four, clearly in need of renovation. The lower level was cramped, with very little space between the beds and the stairs, forcing us to squeeze past and resulting in several bruises. We never ventured onto the balcony because it was unclean (there was a cake still on the floor upon our arrival and still there when we left) and the view was unappealing, with rubbish and a building site. The upper floor was spacious but also in need of repairs. The main pool area was the only part that resembled the photos on booking sites. Staff members varied some were friendly and helpful, while others were rude. We overheard one guest being told to "f... off" by the DJ, who obviously did not want to be there that evening. Only one dining room in the main building was open; the other area, where the BBQ is located, looked abandoned and was used as storage. The breakfast offered was typical for Turkish hotels. Lunch and dinner options were limited, but what was available was acceptable. I didn't try the afternoon snacks, as they did not look appetizing. In summary, this hotel needs significant attention; it was dirty and far from the condition shown in the booking photos.

The hotel is very modest and comfortable. On our arrival we were barely greeted by the boy on reception who was sniffing and appeared to have a really bad cold which 3 out of the 4 of the party caught almost immediately -(upon returning home i tested positive for covid - faint line meaning I was at the end of it) Food was abysmal always at best Luke warm only good selection was the salad and cheeses. Hot food was never hot and very repetitive. Pools were nice but sun beds could do with checking/replacing as most of them had cracks in them under the yellow cushions. Drink choices were very limited and disappointing. Very let down by the entertainment which was repetitive every night and generally aimed for the turkish culture, which we did enjoy watching the dancing etc but didnt feel we could join in. The music was the same pretty much every night. Overall we made it the holiday we wanted it to be but we will not be returning to this hotel. I would not recommend this hotel.
