Terrible experience . The hotel advertises a private kitchen but this is just a sink in a cupboard and a hot plate and micro wave. You can’t use the hotplate or microwave because there are no pans , no microwaveable cooking containers. No chopping board no knives no utensils of any description. Nothing. You are supplied with plates and cutlery for if you order food from their restaurant (pizza) . We told them we wanted to do self catering on day one and asked for things to cook with on day one. Nothing arrived until day 5 when we got two large pans and nothing else. So still couldn’t cook . No shops whatsoever at Elia beach. Hotel offered to take us to a mini market for €35 - talk about exploitation. Buses irregular and €5 round trip . Hotel offers free shuttle 3 times a day but this wasn’t running . This is essential given the location and totally unfair to just pull the service . We were told on check in that it was still running at 6pm and 9pm with a free return at 6.30 and 9.30 pm. We caught the bus into Mykonos during the day and to save money waited for the free return shuttle which didn’t turn up . We had to pay €50 taxi back a 6.30pm !! The hotel then said the shuttle had to be pre booked ! We were told the last bus was 7pm but it was actually at 6pm ! The fridge leaked there was no mini bar or DVD player, which was advertised . There were no English channels on the satellite TV . The sofa was old and stained . The curtains dirty and stained . I have mobility problems and explained I couldn’t get in and out of the tall bath so asked for a change of room ( they have rooms with a walk in shower ). Didn’t happen . The bath itself was rusty and had mould by the tiles . Breakfast disappointing . No bread choices as advertised you were luck to get a husk . Chef didn’t know how to cook poached eggs . Terrible
