I stayed in the Hotel Aspen for a week and it made a very pleasant base for my stay in Antalya. Although the room wasn't as nicely furnished/decorated as some hotel rooms I've stayed in, it was perfectly comfortable and suitable for my needs. The air con worked fine, there were plenty of plug sockets and room for my belongings, the bathroom was well-equipped with a walk-in electric shower. Mini-safe in the wardrobe. No view from my window but personally that doesn't worry me. Breakfast selection was decent, with both hot and cold food available, and the hot food choices changed slightly each day. Pool area was nice, albeit the pool is more for wallowing in, it's too small for swimming. Some other reviewers have mentioned problems with the noise at night. Well, yes, you can hear the nightlife from the nearby bars but you're in Kaleiçi, so that's likely to be a problem with all hotels in the area. Could I hear it? Yes. Did it stop me from sleeping? No. I didn't make use of the hotel bar (I had no real need to, as the area is full of bars and restaurants). Another thing I have seen some reviewers mention is the rudeness of the hotel staff. This I cannot agree with as without exception I found them to be helpful and friendly, from my initial check-in (at 2am) to being very accommodating in looking after my needs on my last day when I had a very late flight scheduled, they looked after my case for me, let me continue to use the hotel facilities, provided me with somewhere to shower and change. This might not be an ideal location for people with mobility issues - it is surrounded by sloping roads/walkways, and although the hotel has lifts, you will still need to negotiate some flights of steps. That aside, the location is very nice - very close to parks, shops, restaurants and the marina, and only 10 minutes walk to Hadrian's Gate or the Clock Tower. This was my first visit to Antalya and I hope to come back again before too long - and when I do return I'll be looking to stay at the Aspen once again.
