Excellent Stay at Mahana

This was my third visit to the Aston Mahana at Kaanapali, and each time I return I’m reminded why I love this place so much. The oceanfront views are absolutely breathtaking – waking up and falling asleep to the sound of the waves never gets old. The rooms are spacious, comfortable, and well-equipped, making it easy to feel at home. The location is perfect – right on the beach and close to shops, restaurants, and all the activities in Lahaina and Kaanapali. The staff is always welcoming, professional, and helpful, which makes the experience even better. Each visit has been consistently wonderful, and I can’t wait to come back again. Highly recommend this property to anyone looking for a relaxing and memorable stay in Maui!

Aloha, We just returned home from our stay at the Aston Mahana property. It was a fabulous stay - the suite was beautiful, well equipped and spotless. It was easy to find our way around - we found a great gym nearby and enjoyed meals out as well as bringing take-out back to our suite to enjoy in the comfort. It is like a home away from home and we highly recommend it. A special thank you to Karen at the Aston desk there - she went over and above to look after us. She is both professional and so friendly and helpful - thank you Karen!

Stunning ocean view… but disappointing issues for a $400/night stay, starting from cockroaches...

On our very first night, we ended up dealing with about a dozen small cockroaches in the room. Management did move us to another king room like the one we had, but only after making it clear that the change would be made “with whatever was available” and without guaranteeing the same room level. I emailed management to express my discomfort—something I felt warranted at least a partial refund—and to point out that warning guests to “watch out for crumbs because cockroaches might come” does not relieve the hotel of its responsibility, especially when we found crumbs on the floor that were not ours. I wasn’t really after a refund, but I did expect to feel acknowledged. Unfortunately, no one ever replied to my email, which is very disappointing for a $400-a-night stay. Also, in a place where everything closes at 9 PM (something quite unusual for us Europeans), I can understand the local culture, but I think a hotel charging premium rates should at least have a bar or some kind of food & beverage service on site. Having no bar service at all in the pool area is, in my opinion, a big drawback. That being said, the ocean view from our king room was absolutely breathtaking, and it’s not as if we completely regret our choice. We did enjoy our time there—cockroaches aside—but if we ever return to Maui, we would definitely stay somewhere else.

We had an incredible time at Aston Mahana. We love the location and the view is absolutely unmatchable. The sounds of the ocean were incredible, as well. The bed was very comfortable and we had everything we needed. It was mostly very quiet. We really hope to come back agree!

Amazing stay at Unit 1117 of the Aston Mahana! Prime location + epic views + very helpful host!

An absolute dream vacation in Maui and Unit 1117 was a perfect spot for our homebase! We were celebrating our anniversary and the condo had tons of space between the master bedroom, living room, kitchen, bathroom, and lanai balcony. If travelling as a family, the couch in the living room can be utilized as a pullout bed for 2 more people. Pros: -easy 50 minute drive from the OGG airport -free parking -LOCATION CANNOT BE TOPPED: you are on the quiet northern edge of Kaanapali Beach with a perfect view of the sunset each night from your private lanai. Epic views of the Pacific Ocean with rainbows & Molokai/Lanai islands in the background. Enjoy all the perks of being at a prime resort location without all the crowds and resort traffic. -Snorkeling from the beach just steps outside the condo pool was a breeze. We swam up close with multiple 5 ft turtles and all sorts of fish and coral reef. -Well maintained boardwalk along the resorts was a great way to start each day with a run/walk to Whaler's village (2 miles each way) -GOLF: Kapalua Resort & Kaanapali Resort are both within a 10 minute drive (4 courses total - all very nice) -fully stocked kitchen to make meals at the condo (and grills at the pool) -laundry room with washer/dryer -Duke's + other resort restaurants within walking distance -our host, Rebecca, was very communicative and had plenty of suggestions for around the island to help make our stay the best! Cons: NONE! We would highly recommend Unit 1117 at Aston Mahana to anyone looking for a Maui vacation.
