Atlantica Beach Resort

Great hotel. Good value for money.

Just returned from an 11 night stay here with my family. We arrived at around 1am in the morning to be told the hotel was overbooked and that we were being transferred to the Belvedere hotel for 1 night and we would be transferred back in the morning. We were given two swim up rooms for the night which was a nice touch. However, we barely got the chance to use them as we had to check back out by 11am the next morning to be taken back to Atlantica beach. Once back at Atlantica, we had to wait half an hour or so for our rooms to be ready. By this point it was already midday so a little annoyed that we had now lost half a day of our holiday! Our rooms were in the Residences, which is what we had requested so we were happy with that. The rooms were premium rooms and as described but the view was a little disappointing ~ looking out onto a very dry field! But as we don’t spend too much time in the room we decided not to worry about it too much. The Residences area ~ was very much to our liking, modern, well kept and peaceful. The staff in general were all very pleasant. Breakfast in the morning at Parea was a lot less busy than the main buffet. The only thing we thought would improve the Parea breakfast would be a made to order omelette/egg station. The walk between the Residences and the main hotel was 5-10 mins max which was fine for us. The grounds ~ the whole resort is very well kept and aesthetically pleasing. Well done to the grounds team as they clearly work very hard! The beach ~ is a little rocky in places, more so on the smaller stretch of beach. We preferred the larger beach at the far end of the resort. The pools~the pool at the Residences was lovely, clean and not overcrowded. The main pool was very busy and overcrowded a lot of the time. We didn’t go to the adults only pool but it looked very quiet whenever we passed by. The food ~ in general we thought the food was good but there is definitely some room for improvement. The snack bar down by the beach wasn’t great, quite limited in what they have. The main buffet restaurant was good, there were a few days where we weren’t impressed but mostly we could find something we liked. We recommend the Asian night if you like sushi! Now let’s move onto the à la carte restaurants… Elea~ the setting was cute, the food was good(not amazing) but the service was underwhelming in all honesty. They were slow to acknowledge when you needed a drink and unable to get prosecco when it is offered everywhere else in resort!! Dante’s~do not bother!!! The aesthetic is lovely but that’s it. It’s basically a very scaled down version of the main buffet. How this is classed as an Italian restaurant is beyond me! It’s an insult to Italians! This could be a great pizza/pasta restaurant if they invested in wood fired pizza oven and had a small selection of pasta dishes on a menu. However, we did notice many of the wedding parties had their wedding breakfast in here so I feel it is geared more towards that and not actually the holiday maker! Parea(Residences)~I would say this was the best of the three. Service, style and food were all pretty good. Drinks~definitely a bit hit and miss around the resort. I would say the best ones were at the Residences bar or the main lobby bar if you want a decent hand shaken cocktail served in a glass. Entertainment~I will go as far to say this was dreadful! ‘The Legends’ were brilliant but everything else we saw was very amateur. I would say this is an area that requires huge improvement. A shout out to Nikos at the Residences pool bar, the staff in the Residences area in general and Stefan at the main lobby bar~thank you for your service. Did we have a good holiday? Yes. Would we stay again? Probably not.

Second visit to this hotel and it was just as good as the first visit , we had a garden view in a beautiful quiet location , super king sized bed which was so comfortable, beautiful food , fantastic beach , great staff especially Helen in the restaurant and Emmanuel in the bar . Will definitely come back again

I had a massage from Elena and Georgia. Both are very good and professional. The resort is also nice. A lot to do, good food and kind staff. My glutenfree dieet was no problem. The can cook a different meal. The glutenfree products they have are ok. There could be more options. I would recommend to give people a plan from the resort and be more accurate with the change in the animation. The directions are not always clearly.
