I don’t often leave reviews, but after seeing a recent review, I want to share my similar experience. I felt it was worth adding my own thoughts. The resort itself has a lovely setting and plenty of potential, I loved the Moroccan theme in reception! Unfortunately a number of areas fell short for us. The rooms were spacious and the decor was lovely. A quick tip would be to just watch the walk in shower as it can fill up with water very quick and flood the bathroom. I just turned the shower off for a few mins and it drained. Now ants were a big issue to the point where the maid did leave an ant spray for us to use on a daily basis. Our maid was lovely and tried her very best to control the ant problem for us. We did not pay for a swim up pool but I would recommend it if you were to choose this hotel. Food. All inclusive is known to be repetitive and bland. This was here for us. We didn’t attend breakfast (too lazy) so I cannot comment on that. If anything we preferred lunch over dinner. The dinner was a struggle at times and speaking to other hotel users they thought the same thing. Luckily, the bus to Kardamena meant we could just nip in for a bite to eat. Some people enjoy it and others don’t, I found a lot of people didn’t which was a shame. The waiters were lovely and always brought drinks to our table. In prime summer, it was difficult to get a table outside and if you got to dinner at 7pm, you were queuing up to enter the hall (true British style). I believe the review has been deleted now but there was mention of a rat in the pool. Unfortunately this is true (It was massive!!). Other hotel users, used a beach net to get it out of the pool to stop it from drowning. Now I will be honest I have never experienced this from a hotel, not even Benidorm (lol). Some may say this is nature and can’t be helped but surely a five resort would have this under control. Other than that, the pool is lovely and very tranquil. Maybe I’m just a party animal but I would have enjoyed a bit of light music whilst sunbathing. Staff. Now maria 100% deserves a promotion because she is so lovely and helpful. She really brightens the place up. The same goes for other staff as well. There was some that came across rude or did very little to help you. One in particular was the red haired receptionist. I’ve filtered the reviews and this seems to be an occurring theme. I’m unsure whether this is just her persona or she doesn’t enjoy her job. However, I can say reception staff like Maria made up for her lack of enthusiasm. I would also say the hotel is quite far out from most things so I would recommend hiring a car. Explore the island a bit and see what it has to offer. Now, this is just my opinion on the hotel and I don’t want to cause any hatred or so on. Personally, I wouldn’t come back to this hotel which is a shame because the interior of reception was immaculate. I’m not one to moan and chose not to whilst on holiday because you pay a lot of money and for the short amount of time you are there it’s not worth it. However, I wish I did because it’s your hard earned money and it’s a shame when the holiday isn’t what you expected. I hope you read this as a true representation of my holiday and not some hate page. If the above improves then maybe I would come back but for now it truly isn’t worth the money.
