First, let me just say that if you’re expecting 4 star luxury but filtering by ‘lowest price first’ you need to rethink your filtering! What you get here is a lovely hotel, beautifully clean with friendly, courteous, incredibly hard working staff. The grounds and pool areas were lovely and the location, a 30 minute walk to kos town, was perfect We requested a top floor room and were put in room 448 which had a side sea view and was great for the two of us. The rooms are tired and dated but the beds are comfortable and the air conditioning works well Communal areas are not air conditioned but seem cool enough compared to outside There is a problem with lack of shade as parasols are limited. I get up early and always managed to secure a shady option but found if you left your bed to get something to eat your bed would be moved by other nationals in order to put theirs in the shade (this happened to us twice). Clearly not the hotels fault but other guests from different countries were incredibly rude and entitled. We found the beach lovely but were disappointed to have to pay for the sunbeds if there were none available at the pool …. Take your beach towel (provided by hotel) and find somewhere nice to sit for free 👍🏻 We found the reception and the bar/restaurant staff very helpful and any issues were sorted quickly The free to use shower room for guests checking out early but with late pickups was fantastic. The only suggested changes would be designated smoking areas, keeping balls and inflatables in the bigger pool and some information in the room regarding mealtimes etc for arrivals. We arrived after the bar was closed but no water was offered, just a sandwich All in all, we had a lovely week at this hotel, despite worrying about the terrible reviews, marred only slightly by same selfish guests from other countries.

Atlantis Hotel proved a lovely hotel for a budget family holiday. The hotel grounds are beautiful and impeccably kept. The hotel staff were all friendly and accommodating. They worked so hard in extremely hot temperatures whilst we were there, but were always cheerful, helpful and professional. The food is comparable with most all inclusive resorts, there was plenty to choose from, it was constantly monitored and refreshed, and I enjoyed every meal. The hotel lager was pleasant, but only served in half pints - it would have been nice to have had a pint option available around the bar or in the evening. The ‘Green Paradise’ was a family favourite non alcoholic cocktail, and ‘Blue Coco’ was my preferred alcoholic cocktail - no complaints. You can only collect 2 drinks at a time, but this is to prevent accidents around the pool, and was no hardship. Queues at the bar were minimal, and never a problem. My only suggested change, would be to improve the coffee offering. The only way to have a cappuccino/latte, is to pay at the bar - approx £3.50 - it would be nice to see even some lower end machines available for a help yourself AI cappuccino etc. Not a big issue, but as a big coffee drinker, I did miss my regular caffeine hit. You can get a black coffee from machines (with add your own milk and sugar etc) in the main restaurant, pool restaurant, and pool bar (only after 0900), but it’s a very small cup. On the plus side, I recommend trying the Greek coffee experience at breakfast! The pools were lovely and clean, and always had sun-beds, though my wife enjoys the sun a lot, so was by the pool side at 0740 each day. We saw very few flies, ants or wasps, and the staff were regularly out collecting cups and clearing away and litter. The hotel interior was spotless at all times, with the rooms cleaned alternate days. This wasn’t a massive issue, but when using the a bin for toilet tissue, I felt these should probably be emptied daily. We had requested a room with 2 aircon units (one in each bedroom area), this may have limited the room options, as we found the rooms cleaned alternate very basic and in need of a refurb - not a big issue as it was only somewhere to sleep, but we certainly didn’t have a “wow” feeling when entering for the first time. As an example, the second sleeping space (a room with no door), had no furniture or sockets at all - this made device charging and getting ready a challenge, We requested a kettle, more pillows, and a bedside table, these were provided quickly and without any hesitation. The hotel shop has most of the things you may need, and reasonably priced too. We didn’t use the hotel entertainment in the evening, we prefer to go out for a stroll, but there always seemed to be something on. We walked to Kos a couple of times, and got a taxi once - very beautiful and an amazing atmosphere, especially at night. It took approx 30 mins to walk each way, not particularly pleasant during the heat of the day, but lovely early or late on. The hotel has its own beach, but you have to pay for sun-beds and any drinks bought from the hotel’s beach bar. We swam in the sea, which was lovely and clean and not too cold, but didn’t stay on the beach. All in all, a great holiday, a clean, friendly and enjoyable holiday, that I would recommend t if looking for a budget break.

Just returned from this hotel. First time I have tried all inclusive. I had read some quite negative reviews after I had booked and was actually a bit worried I might have made a mistake. Happy to say I worried needlessly. The hotel is in a fantastic location. Right next to the coast, and only a short bus ride into kos town. We are a family of 6 with children aged 13 - 19.  Such ages are wanting different things from their holiday. All found they loved it. The rooms are very basic, but clean. I grew to quite like our room as the holiday progressed. The food is plentiful and there is lots of choices. Lots of staff in restaurant. The tables are quickly cleaned and plates cleared. They are constantly replenishing the food trays. The restaurant can get very busy, but I never had to queue for long for any items or for a table. The snack bar is quite good also, with freshly cooked pizza, pastries and fruit. The gyros at lunch are a must. The glasses for drinks are quite small and you can be at the drink station frequently but some are self serve, or if an attended bar the service is very quick so you never wait long. All staff I encountered were polite and friendly.  Two staff stood out though in making our visit so pleasurable. Cristo the barman at the poolside bar is fantastic, always had a smile, great with kids and makes you feel a valued customer. He was great for remembering drinks orders, and often would serve me what I wanted before I even asked.  Alexander the glass collector never stops working. He was constantly moving amongst the tables collecting glasses, wiping tables, and was never still. Always happy and chatty as he worked.  Many reviews complain of the cocktails and beer, but we had no issues at all. They aren't going to win awards, but they were certainly OK.  There is some firm of entertainment each night by the pool. We had karaoke, disco's and a greek night with live music and dancing. All great fun. The poolside gets very busy, but we found the beach to be best. Sunbeds are €5 for the day but well worth it. Watershoes are a must as the beach is very pebbly as you enter the water. The beach bar is not included in all inclusive but the pool bar is a very short walk to collect drinks. My only complaint is the beach towels provided are expected to last a week. If they were changed every other day with room towels this would be much better. There is a bus into kos just outside the hotel. Not sure what the cost is as I paid a different amount every time we used the bus, 6 trips in total. Varied from €5 to €10 for 6 of us. I would definitely recommend this hotel though and I would certainly stay again. 

We just stayed here for one week with our 11 year old child. Beautiful hotel, with a great layout and location right by the beach. All the various staff were great, working very hard in the heat, whilst still friendly, and fast! A wide range of delicious food at meal times, plentiful and constantly replenished, and snacks available in-between meals all day. Two of us eat meat, one of us is vegetarian - plenty for all of us. Lovely salad bar, cheeses, so much meat (it's insane!), cooked vegetables, breads, pastas, cakes, cooked buffet breakfasts, fresh pancakes, pastries, ripe fruits, condiments, dressings, syrups and sauces, etc. You can even make your own Greek coffee at breakfast, great fun! So much choice - amazing! Yes it's similar each day (but with variations as well), and there is of course some ‘reinventing’ of leftover food but this is completely reasonable. Lovely pools, with fun activities for children and adults, if you want. We usually managed to get sun beds at the pool after breakfast if we wanted, with some careful timing, or later in the day when people had stopped using them. And if none are available you can sit on the numerous chairs right by the pool anyway - or go to the beach instead. Sunbeds on the beach are €5 each for the day. It's pebbles where the beach goes into the water, so we would definitely recommend beach/swimming shoes, but otherwise the beach is wonderful! There's sand at the top of the beach, so if you don't want to pay for a sunbed, you could just put towels or whatever down there. There are showers between the beach and pools/hotel to wash off sand to keep everything nice and clean. The all inclusive drinks were available in copious amounts - from the bars throughout the day, and to help yourself at meal times. The bars were all great, with various points to get the drinks, with quick service - we never had to wait long at all. We took some large plastic glasses with us after reading comments about queueing for small glasses of drinks - but we didn't need our glasses at all - the wait times are so short that the glass sizes are no problem. Yes the cocktails are made with sweet syrups not high quality ingredients, but they are tasty enough for what they are, with plenty of alcohol and are readily available. Likewise the beer, wine, juices, soft drinks and coffee etc aren't high quality - but what do you expect when it's all included, unlimited, and so quick and easy to access? If you want something branded or better quality you can just pay for it at the bar. And yes the all inclusive drinks finish at 11pm but when they're available all day from 11am (or 5pm for some spirit combinations) this is no problem at all. If you can't manage to drink enough in the 12 hours, you can still pay for drinks after 11pm, or get a couple of bottles of something from the shop to have in your room! There's a shop right in the entrance as you come into the hotel, where you can easily pick up extra stuff if you want for the room or beach etc. Beautiful lush perfectly maintained gardens and pathways all around the hotel, with all kinds of Mediterranean trees, shrubs, flowers and succulents. We had a 1st floor garden room which was very nice and spacious, had great air conditioning and everything we needed. They cleaned it every couple of days, which was more than necessary actually, and they even provide separate sets of towels for the bathroom and for the beach/pool, so we didn't even really need the beach towels we had brought with us. Yes, there's no kettle - but you don't need it when breakfast starts at 7am with unlimited coffee, tea, etc, and then more is available from the pool bar area through the day as well. It gets very busy and hot in the restaurants at peak meal times, and there are lots of families with children of all ages staying in the hotel - but this is to be expected in the middle of the summer holidays, and it was fine for us. We could not fault the hotel in any way whatsoever. For the price we paid with EasyJet, it's really excellent. After reading quite a lot of negative comments, we were concerned in advance that it might not be very good. But it's now clear to us that the vast majority of the bad comments are in our opinion very petty, unjustified, entitled, unreasonable, picky and fussy. Maybe you could argue whether the four star rating is justified in every single aspect. But we were very happy. We felt very privileged to have stayed in this lovely oasis for a week. We would also recommend the Aegean Adventure island boat and swimming trip available from Tigaki tours on the main street, just to the left as you go out of the hotel.
