Mesari hotel Ubud, Bali

Beautiful hotel overlooking the rice fields. The rooms are luxurious and have all the amenities. The included breakfast menu is of a high standard and the full restaurant menu has an extensive menu. Located close to the Ubud market, but far away enough to be surrounded by greenery. The highlight for me was the phenomenal staff! They are available 24 hours a day and go above and beyond to make your stay an enjoyable one!

Issues with the electricity

We were to stay in the Mesari Hotel for 4 nights but only stayed 2 nights as there was an issue with the electricity in our room. It cut out many times leaving us with no lights and no air conditioning. We were in a villa with our own pool, this apparently was an upgrade as there was storm damage to the room we had booked. The room was lovely, but was a long walk from reception with 3 different sets of steps along a winding path. Having a private pool was great fun. We ate dinner in the hotel on our first night there, the food was excellent and the staff were really nice and very professional.

Amazing stay!

We had a fabulous stay at the Atta Mesari Ubud, our room was beautiful overlooking the rice fields with our own pool where we enjoyed a floating breakfast on our last morning. The staff were very welcoming, friendly and helpful and wanted to do everything to ensure you enjoyed your stay. The food and drinks were lovely and it was very peaceful. The main pool was clean and the grounds well tended. We used the free shuttle service into Ubud Town but due to a road closure we preferred to walk down as it took the same time (about 15mins).They are renovating the front lobby but works did not compromise our stay and am sure it will look fabulous when finished. Thank for a glorious stay, we would recommend and definitely return!

Good but…

We stayed in one of the Villas with a private pool. The location is good if you’re prepared to walk around 25 minutes to get to the centre of Ubud. We decided to walk as there was road works happening outside the hotel so we thought it would be quicker rather than getting a driver as the road was one way and busy. The hotel itself is under going a renovation for the lobby. We didn’t realise this until we arrived however it didn’t ruin the experience and overall, we heard little to no noise from the workmen. The villa was overall lovely, however it could do with an upgrade. A lot of the furniture was wood however they looked aged. The mosquito net covering the bed needed to be taken down and cleaned to be honest. There were cracks in the plaster etc. Unfortunately, we were unable to sit out next to our pool as the sun beds were over run by ants. Again, I think this was because the beds were solid wood and old. I don’t see how this could even be rectified other than changing the furniture as Ubud is so jungle and is very damp with the rain/humidity at times. The staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good and the presentation was lovely. We didn’t use the restaurant for food as we always ventured out. Overall, a pleasant experience. We would recommended the area due to being close to the centre but not where you’ll get a lot of noise. If this place had an overall upgrade, then it would be amazing!

Lovely family holiday

We loved our stay at the Atta Mesari. As other reviews have mentioned they are building a new reception so the welcome is a little bit of a building site but it dodged not impact our stay at all. We had a family villa with a pool next to the rice terrace. Really spacious and a lovely treat. The main pool is also lovely and right next to the restaurant. The choice of food is not huge but everything we had was really nice. We got the shuttle into Ubud and then walked back. There are plenty places to eat close to the hotel. We did a bike tour with Bali bikes which was a great way to see the countryside. Thanks for making our first ever stay in Bali so nice.
