Official Description

The hotel is just 2 km from the island's capital. Restaurants and bars can be found in the immediate vicinity. Shopping opportunities, the botanical gardens and Fort George can all be found just a few kilometres away. It is also just a 15-minute drive from the small island airport. The hotel has direct access to its own privatee, secluded beach of Sandy Bay. This exclusive boutique beach hotel offers a stylish retreat. It is designed with great attention to detail and offers its guests a restful and luxurious stay in an idyllic crescent-bay setting on an island blessed with exceptional natural beauty. There are 40 rooms and 8 suites in total. A restaurant and bar also feature, with a romantic, charming little bridge leading to the restaurant. Parking facilities are available to guests arriving by car. Younger guests are sure to enjoy the playground. Each of the spacious rooms is tastefully decorated, creating a warm and elegant Caribbean atmosphere. They offer a wonderful sea view, and include a private terrace. King-size beds and white marble floors come as standard. The bathrooms are completely marble, from the floor to the tiled roof. They also feature bevelled mirrors. A hairdryer, direct dial telephone, satellite/cable TV, radio, hi-fi system, Internet access, minibar/fridge, tea/coffee making facilities, an ironing set, individually regulated air conditioning and a safe all come as standard. Guests may take advantage of two outdoor swimming pools, and the sun terrace with sun loungers and parasols. The nearest golf course is about 5 km away. The beach it is directly in front of the hotel and comes with sun loungers and parasols.

My breath gets lighter as soon as I arrive - yes, I know this place. I return here time and again because of the bird life - Hummingbirds flying on the spot right outside of your room. The rooms are MASSIVE and facing the beach. The 3 pools - something for an early morning swim, an afternoon plunge or a midnight session. The food - I have attached some photos of the eats - local and international, stunning food. But more importantly we go for the people, the staff who stay with the owners for years and years - they form a cohesive unit and they are happy to be there. Well done Reinhold and Gloria xx

Wonderful Stay

From the moment I arrived at bacolet beach club, I knew I was going to have a wonderful stay. The check-in process was smooth and efficient, and the staff was incredibly welcoming. The room was spacious, clean, and beautifully decorated. The bed was incredibly comfortable, and I slept soundly all night. The hotel also boasts a fantastic location. The on-site restaurant was exceptional, with delicious food and impeccable service . I would highly recommend bacolet beach club to anyone looking for a memorable and enjoyable stay!"

I completely enjoyed my stay. The rooms were clean and really comfortable. The view was amazing. The staff is friendly and courteous.The effort to make you comfortable is the best.The restaurant was amazing. I highly recommend them when you are going to Tobago.

Good hotel but need transport

Visited the hotel in late March 2025 as part of our 43rd wedding anniversary. This was a good time to stay at the hotel, as it was a very quiet period between the Trinidad carnival and Easter. The hotel is quite sprawling, with a number of buildings; and access to a private beach down a long uneven staircase. There is a beach bar serving drinks, and food (brought from the hotel kitchen). The beach is quite dark in colour, with strong waves coming into the narrow cove. As well as the sun loungers, there is also a rope swing slung from a tree on the beach edge. The Havana was the inhouse restaurant and local bar. Food was very good with a different special option each day. I especially enjoyed the soups. Across the road was a sports bar, again part of the hotel complex. Hotel location is well out of Scarborough, maybe a 20 minutes walk into town. There is no public transport past the hotel, so dependant on taxis for transport, although the hotel has it's own taxi available at any time. The taxi was good for visiting the town or going to Pidgeon Point. The use of a hire car would be a good option to tour the rest of the island. Staff were very friendly and helpful, and arranged for a bouquet of flowers for my wife on our anniversary. We would certainly go back to the hotel, but arrange for a hire car for a period of the stay.

Stayed here for 6 nights, all the staff were very friendly and very helpful. We were lucky to have met the owners who were very friendly and helpful The food was lovely breakfast was different everything day great choices The rooms were bright and clean beautiful sea view from our balcony. (Cleaned every day) Very pretty sandy beach (private to the hotel) The two pools we used were small but very clean and very pleasant to soak up the sun and the atmosphere.
