Official Description

The hotel is just 2 km from the island's capital. Restaurants and bars can be found in the immediate vicinity. Shopping opportunities, the botanical gardens and Fort George can all be found just a few kilometres away. It is also just a 15-minute drive from the small island airport. The hotel has direct access to its own privatee, secluded beach of Sandy Bay. This exclusive boutique beach hotel offers a stylish retreat. It is designed with great attention to detail and offers its guests a restful and luxurious stay in an idyllic crescent-bay setting on an island blessed with exceptional natural beauty. There are 40 rooms and 8 suites in total. A restaurant and bar also feature, with a romantic, charming little bridge leading to the restaurant. Parking facilities are available to guests arriving by car. Younger guests are sure to enjoy the playground. Each of the spacious rooms is tastefully decorated, creating a warm and elegant Caribbean atmosphere. They offer a wonderful sea view, and include a private terrace. King-size beds and white marble floors come as standard. The bathrooms are completely marble, from the floor to the tiled roof. They also feature bevelled mirrors. A hairdryer, direct dial telephone, satellite/cable TV, radio, hi-fi system, Internet access, minibar/fridge, tea/coffee making facilities, an ironing set, individually regulated air conditioning and a safe all come as standard. Guests may take advantage of two outdoor swimming pools, and the sun terrace with sun loungers and parasols. The nearest golf course is about 5 km away. The beach it is directly in front of the hotel and comes with sun loungers and parasols.

This hotel is magnificent! The hosts at this home made feel special to be there. They made every effort to ensure my time at the hotel was enjoyable. It was a perfect place to relax and unwind. I would recommend this hotel 100%

A very relaxing two weeks in a beautiful place with lovely, helpful staff and we will return.

We arrived at the hotel in the early evening so did not see very much of the hotel. The room was lovely very clean and a lovely size, beautiful bathroom, wardrobe space, air conditioning, lovely big balcony overlooking one of the two swimming pools. As it was later in the evening we arrived we did not have dinner the first evening but certainly slept very well. Our first experience of the restaurant was for breakfast on the first full day, there were vegetarian choices which was excellent and the Creme Brulee was the best I have ever had, thank you to the chefs. The staff were all so helpful and friendly and made us feel very welcome. I have a disability so require getting around in my wheelchair and using my walking sticks, there are some areas a bit more difficult to access than others but my husband managed and again the staff were very helpful. Karen our lovely lady looking after our room was wonderful, the room was spotlessly clean and the bed linen and towelling was beautiful. I did not access the beach but my husband did and the hotel owners offered to assist me but I declined as I enjoyed our balcony or lying by one of the pools. All the staff were welcoming, helpful and very friendly it was so relaxing. We had a tour of the island with the wonderful Ricky who is extremely knowledgeable about the island and has a lovely sense of humour. We visited Scarborough, the capital, it was very pretty, and the residents all very helpful and friendly. The time went far too quickly, we were only there for two weeks, and will definitely return for a longer break.

Gem of a hotel!

This place is the greatest find we've ever had the luck to book. Nestled on the Atlantic coast of Tobago, it's definitely worth the extra half hour flight from the main holiday destination in the area - St Lucia. This hotel is the most peaceful, beautiful sanctuary and we couldn't fault it. The owners and the staff are amazing..... especially the beautiful waitresses in the restaurant. We came on an all-inclusive package and we couldn't have asked for better food. It was all home cooked, beyond delicious and so much better than standard all-inclusive buffets. By far the best food we've ever had on holiday. The hotel itself is on a private beach which is the most peaceful place we've ever been. It's in a small cove and there is no music blaring, noone trying to sell you anything or asking you to join in aqua aerobics and was just the hotel guests all chilling out and enjoying the beautiful water. There is a small bar on the beach which they will serve your lunch on if you want. We spent our entire ten days on this beach and couldn't get enough of it. The only thing worth mentioning about the beach is that to reach it there is a set of steep steps (about 50) so would be a challenge for anyone with mobility issues. The hotel is very clean and on some of the other reviews it says it is run down: this is a Caribbean island and the "run down" look adds to the charm. The rooms are huge as are the walk-in showers. The view from the balconies is stunning as they look out onto the sea. We really could not fault this place and we spoke with other guests who had returned after holidaying here last year as they loved it so much. The two pools are also spotlessly clean. This place is a complete gem and well worth the visit.

What an unbelievable surprise!

We visited this hotel with a view to booking for next year. We are so glad we went - because there is no way in a million years we would want to stay there! Whilst the entrance and reception area are in good order, that was the end of the good news! The small pool was uninhabited and unappealing. The steps down to the lower levels were a complete health hazard - in fact downright dangerous. Upon reaching the so called bar - we were both astounded and disgusted. It looked like a garden shed, had neither draft or bottled beer and was staffed by a man who was neither polite nor apologetic. The beach area was just as bad. Litter everywhere, and despite the outlook - unappealing. Needless to say we did not bother to look at the bedrooms, and left as quickly as possible. I have never written such a negative review. This could be a decent hotel - but needs a complete overhaul.
