Excellent service amenities and cleanliness Pools great, food very good, rooms a little tired, big gap in sliding door when closed Had a little trouble with room key entry but reception very helpful. would recommend to other families looking for an all inclusive getaway. Location is a little remote but easy to get taxis etc to explore further afield.

Lovely stay as a couple

Just returned from a week here as a couple. Overall had a lovely relaxing stay. We arrived very late and checked in at reception. We were initially given a room in block 8. The instructions to find it in the dark were poor, and when we eventually located the room we where disappointed. Two of the lights were not working, meaning the room was very dark. It was also a room on the end and seemed like the only room without a balcony or terrace? Very disappointing to be allocated that. I spoke to reception and after some back and fourth the man eventually moved us rooms. This was much better, with a large balcony and bigger room. Especially appreciated the number of English tv channels. Room was cleaned daily to a very good standard, and both the restaurant and cleaning staff were lovely. Very much appreciated the water in the fridge each day. The hotel itself is kind of in the Middle of nowhere, not much around and no access to beach so you would need to get a bus or taxi into towns. Hotel was very clean and relaxing, and although other guests reserved sun beds it was easy to find one throughout the day. One of the highlights was the food. Very good selection and lots to choose from, loved the themed nights. Very much enjoyed it, and the service in the restaurant was very good everyday. Entertainment- good throughout the day, always something going on. Really enjoyed the quiz/bingo in the evening but the entertainment after that finished was a bit poor/cringe. Bar service was good, and a wide range of drinks. Hotel feels a bit dated in parts, needs a few updates which I believe will take place later this year. Overall had a lovely, relaxing time and would definitely return.

Brilliant visit with 1 year old

We stayed at Bahia Principe Sunlight Costa Adeje last week as a family with our 1-year-old and had a lovely time. Our flight was delayed, so we arrived at the hotel around 10 p.m. Thankfully, the staff were incredibly helpful—given we had a toddler and four bags, they kindly drove us to our room. A cot was already set up for us, and we were pleasantly surprised to find a proper bath too—an underrated feature in a resort like this, especially with a little one. Our room was in a great spot within the resort, perfectly positioned between the two evening venues, so while we were near the action, the noise in the evenings wasn’t an issue. We were also very close to the main pool, which made daytime relaxing easy and meant quick access back to the room when needed. The resort itself is quite large with plenty of stairs, but there are lifts and step-free routes available. It just takes a bit of time to figure out the best paths if you’re using a buggy or wheelchair. Food-wise, the buffet aimed to cater to a wide range of tastes, and guests could also book three out of the four à la carte restaurants during their stay for a bit of variety. The service stood out—staff were warm and attentive, and a special mention goes to Orlando in the buffet restaurant, who made a real impression on our little one. We were able to get milk for feeds from both the buffet and the bar, which was super convenient. The main pool was great—large, with gentle steps ideal for toddlers—and there was also a dedicated children’s pool. A small climbing frame next to the pool helped keep our little one entertained too. Although we didn’t catch any of the evening entertainment, there were plenty of daytime activities happening by the main pool if you wanted to join in. The hotel is showing some signs of wear and tear, but we heard it’s due for a revamp next year. Overall, it offered great value for an all-inclusive stay. It is a bit out of the way, but that suited us perfectly for a quiet, relaxing break. Plus, there’s a daily shuttle bus to Las Americas if you feel like venturing out. In short, we had a very relaxing family holiday and would definitely return. It’s a great choice for families with young children.

The hotel facilities are generally excellent. The location is a little remote but within easy reach by bus or taxi should you wish to venture out. There were a number of positive reviews online which influenced our booking but, in the interest of fairness, our experience didn’t match a lot of what we had read. The hotel is currently undergoing refurbishment at the sister hotel next door but, whilst we were not informed, there was also remedial works taking place a couple of apartments adjoining hours. The noise was terrible and, although the hotel reception managed to stop the work from taking place when we reported it, it started up again the following day. We were not after a move as we were happy with where we stayed. We just didn’t appreciate the constant clattering and banging from around 9 am onwards. By way of service level it is potluck and, for me, dependent entirely on who it is you are lucky or unlucky enough to interact with. A lot of the staff are very pleasant and helpful. I would go as far as to say as nothing seems to be too much of an issue for them that said however there are a number of staff, probably an equal number, who look disenchanted being there and almost roll your eyes if you ask them anything, or for anything regardless as to how polite you may ask them. Was it a disaster? Absolutely not. Was it a great holiday? Overall no, it was average. Given the opportunity to stay again, I would probably pass based l on this one experience. For balance, however, there are a number of people that have an alternating view two hours and it may well be we just got unlucky. Have been lucky enough to stay at a number of the Bahia hotels in various countries and, in every single instance, previous experience was excellent. This one didn’t quite measure up, however.

Poor service - my stuff was lost!

I had a room change on 16/7 when I was out for tour. I told the reception there is a luggage, a bottle of water and a bottle of Mojito in the fridge. Please move them all. However, when I returned to the hotel in the afternoon, only the luggage was in the new room but the drinks were missing. I immediately checked with the reception but in vain. A new, unopened 1-litre Mojito was lost when the hotel moved my room! Poor service and something is wrong with the hotel!
