Hello My girlfriend and I were at your hotel Bahia San Filipe for 3 weeks from May 14 to June 7, perhaps our worst experience... We were also there last year for 4 weeks, but this time the experience was very different... The food was terrible - several times there was no bread selection at the breakfast buffet, it only came about 1½ hours after it started, and for several days there were rats running around between the sunbeds by the pool... Absolutely not a 4-star hotel, more like a 2-star... I say this because from June 7 to June 14 we went to Bahia Costa Adeje, and that experience was completely different and absolutely worth the 4 stars... And this especially applies to the food, which was so much better... I/we simply cannot understand how 2 4-star hotels in the same chain can be so different as is the case... We have sent pictures with our complaint to the hotel and have been offered a refund for 3 days after we declined to receive 3 free nights on our next stay... Considering our experience, it is not surprising that we will not be returning there. It will probably end up that we have to accept the offered compensation, but we are absolutely not satisfied. ps. Dear Mr Nielsen, We sincerely regret that our offer did not meet your expectations. Please be assured that it was never our intention to disappoint you. As a gesture of goodwill, we would like to offer you a refund for three nights of your reservation GTI25xxxxxxxx. If you accept, we will send you the relevant agreement to complete and sign. Food Poisoning

Food was repetitive. Rooms small and tired. Vast majority of clientele were German and they took priority over the handful of English guests. My husband had a chicken sausage for breakfast on the last day and suffered with food poisoning on the flight/journey home (easyJet staff were amazing) he was very ill for 3 days! We had eaten the same meals as each other all week except that one sausage! On the morning of check out our in room safe wouldn’t open ,-passports were inside-we had to get reception to help but she said it happens all the time as they change the code on the day you are checking out.
