Nice facilities- RCI accommodation lacking

We were in an RCI apartment that was not like the photos on the resort website my suspicion is they are not maintained with the same level of care. We had a lovely stay with our easy going family of 5. Pools are outstanding and clean. Location is very convenient for beaches, restaurants and a wide range of touristy activities. The accommodation was very tired and in need of updating. Bathroom was not particularly clean but because it was old it would be difficult to maintain a high level of cleanliness. You could still clean previous occupants hair out of the shower and floor around the toilet though… Although it “slept 5” it was a 1 bed apartment with 2 bunk beds in a passage and an old sleeper couch, not suitable if you don’t like being in each others space all the time.

Great stay

I was worried about this location after reading previous reviews, but was delighted with our stay. One week in October, pools and grounds immaculate and qell tended. apartment has all you need, refreshed 3 times during our stay which was more than expected for self catering. Reception could be a little more helpful in directing you to apartment and amenities on arrival as the grounds are huge, but very good for booking you a taxi .Only 10 minutes to old town in a taxi. Staff very helpful and pleasant. Would definately book here again if returning.

Beautiful resort

Just arrived back from balaia golf resort and got to admit I read some of the reviews before I went and I almost changed accommodation, glad I didn't. I had a 2 bed superior apartment and upon arrival was clean, spacious and overlooking the pool. The grounds where beautiful and everyday there where workers out maintaining it. Our apartment was cleaned 3 times in our 7 night stay. Pool cleaned daily, fresh towels. Staff where friendly. I emailed before hand to ask for an apartment close to everything as my autisic son couldn't walk far and they were more than happy to help. Our apartment was 3 min walk from reception and breakfast. Only issue I had was they didn't tell me my check out time so was rushing trying to get out and had over an hour wait for out transfer but that it is all. The resort is beautiful so don't be put off by the reviews.
