Barcelo Fuerteventura Royal Level adults only

The rooms were great the staff were so nice and friendly but they were so under staffed it was ridiculous! The food was so bad …. Bad choices most days had a cheese roll …. When the food was okayish it was always cold even when food was just put out it was cold ! It was so bad

We were upgraded at the reception upon arrival to a suite situated right next to the pool which was a great start to the holiday. I'd also arranged for the "romantic surprise" addon which was balloons bottle of cava and lots of chocolates, it was setup upon arrival and was a really nice touch. The suites are very modern and clean and feel much more luxurious than a standard hotel room. Activities at the RL Adult Only section were great! We did Pilates, Yoga and clay modelling with James who was really friendly and enthusiastic for all the activities. We also did a painting and Wine session with Reuben who was equally friendly. I would highly recimmend participating in these free activities! In fact all staff at the hotel were always friendly couldnt fault them. At the green room in Barcelo Mar we saw an amazing Whitney Houston act and a mediocre Abba act. Their selection of entertainment is great and again the facilities are modern and clean. Food: We were half board and there was plenty of variety for both Breakfast and Dinner (you can swap dinner for lunch if you wish). In additional to the adults only buffet area, you could book for the indivdual restaurants, Rodizio and El Carna are included. Ensalada del Mar and Dolce Vita are not but we tried these and the food was delicious, highly recommend! I would definately say to use the app, as you can use it to book restaurants, poolside service as well as find out information about entertaininment and anything else you might need. Cons: some of the furniture was a bit worn and tired and we had a broken lamp and faulty hairdryer in our room (reported these on the last day). Also whilst we never were stuck for a sunbed I think if we went at a busier time then there wouldn't have been enough (in the adults only area). People do keep their towels on there all day and perhaps management should be more proactive about that. All in all those cons in no way outweighed the brilliant and relaxing time we had here. We will definitely be coming back!!!

Wonderful site, food and drink. So relaxing, however, like so many places poolside sunbeds were covered in peoples' towels but unused for very long periods.

Our hotel chalet was very nice and close to shops , beach, swimming pool and restaurant. The food was fantastic in the adult only restaurant, and we didn't have to travel to any other restaurant on the complex as we had everything there. The staff are very attentive and nothing was too much trouble for them (although I'm NOT a fussy guest) a special mention to Jessica from housekeeping she always kept our accommodation spotless and also James who ran the pool side entertainment. Cocktails and food at pool bar was nice and the waitress service was excellent. The only negatives were the sun bed wars in the morning which can be sorted by the lifeguard who can chalk times on the back of sunbeds, it's really annoying when people put their towels down at 08.00 and don't use the sunbeds until 16.00. The other negative was paying the drinks bill when checking out, the receptionist took my €347.00 on the card machine then I noticed a restaurant we had never been to and oddly enough the machine wasn't making a connection when he attempted to refund my €14.00, couldn't wait as transfer bus was there although he did try his best.

We went 7th-14th June. Lovely place, we had a bungalow quite near to the pool & restaurant as requested. This was superb, air con was amazing in both lounge & bedroom. Get to know the app to book lunch/dinner at the sister hotels on the beach resort, also a choice of 2 restaurants on the harbour you get to use once, separate menu but still very nice and all drinks included if u are A/I. Ice cream bar and show factory free to use aswell on A/I. Was well worth the money as drink were high quality. We preferred the entertainment in the royal level, but often struggled for a seat in the evening. Food at the terrace wanna was mostly good , but we sometimes struggled to find food that went together! Buffet at the Mar/Castillo had better choice. Breakfast was lovely but wish there was coffee machines as struggled to get a second cup with staff. All staff were amazing across the whole resort, but especially in our own bar, drinks always with a smile and using the app round the pool was fantastic. We had an amazing time, and will definitely be back. Thank you all so much for an amazing holiday
