Barcelo Maya Riviera Solo Adultos

We had an absolutely incredible experience at Barcelo Maya Riviera – Adults Only. From the moment we arrived service was phenomenal. Checked in and made all dinner reservations within 15 minutes. The staff at reception were truly exceptional. Actually all staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed throughout our stay. A few of the stand outs were Ruben Altunar at the Rodizio Restaurant, and Lorenzo Luis and Karina Mijanos in the breakfast buffet. Ruben provided excellent service in the a la carte restaurant and dazzled us with his delicious Mayan Coffee making skills! Lorenzo went above and beyond to ensure our every need was taken care of at breakfast while Karina made sure the overall operations ran smoothly. The a la carte restaurants were excellent — each meal was delicious! All menus had a variety of options to choose from. The beach is beautiful and huge. Never a problem finding a lounger anytime of the day! Everyday when we returned to our room we were greeted with a special treat of fresh cheeses, fruits, chocolate covered strawberries, and a small bottle of champagne! What else could you ask for! A special shout-out to Enrique Reyes Lopez, the front desk manager who made sure every detail of our stay was perfect! He recognizes return customers and makes sure they are taken care of! My family has been coming to this resort for 20 years so Barcelo definitely feels like a 2nd home. We'll definitely be coming back to the AO. Highly recommend!

This was our 24th visit to the incredible Barcelo Riviera Maya Resort and our third to the “Adults Only” hotel section. One might think that after so many trips here, we would get bored or look for other sites and destinations. But Barcelo never ceases to amaze and surprise us. First and foremost is the beauty of the region and of the resort itself. The grounds are impeccably maintained and the landscape is lush and green. The beaches are beautiful and the water is clear, save for a day in which sargassum washed up. Even then, the resort employs teams of workers to remove it quickly. It’s hard to imagine a better, more accommodating, more friendly staff than Barcelo’s people. Enrique, the Director of Reception and front desk manager consistently went out of his way to ensure that once again, it was an unforgettable trip, from room selection to various amenities provided. He’s a friendly, knowledgeable man who cares about customer satisfaction We loved the entertainment crew by the pool, bar and on the beach, that was lively and energetic and provided something for everyone. And the night time entertainment at the Adults Only hotel offers live music each evening, from rock bands, to tenors, to Mariachi to Cuban music sounds. And if that’s not enough, you can take a shuttle bus to any of the adjacent Barcelo hotels to see any number of shows taking place on their respective stages The Adults Only hotel also provides an incredible array of foods. The buffet serves a huge variety of breakfast and lunch items, many of which are prepared before your eyes. The waiter staff is friendly and seeks to take care of all needs quickly. Look for Lorenzo, a wonderfully friendly young man who can accommodate any need The dinner restaurants are outstanding. Our favorite is the Mexican taco bar, where a variety of tacos are prepared in front of you. We also enjoyed the Sapporo Japanese steak house—we opted for tables instead of the hibachi shows this time and loved it—the Mexican Agave and French restaurants. Every meal is outstanding. One evening, we took the shuttle to the other side of the resort—to Palace-and dined at Radizzio steak house. The amount of incredible food was amazing. And our waiter Ruben was just a joy The hotel is exceptionally clean and maintained. There are many choices when it comes to vacationing in the Caribbean and Riviera Maya, in particular, and we have been all over. But we will always come back to Barcelo. The best resort and best staff, visit after visit.

Overall I love this place. Comparing the food to Cruise food, the cruise food is much better. The employees aren't great at communicating what is available to you, but the hotel is great and very well kept.

Our dinner at La Dolve Vita was wonderful! After a long day of traveling, the staff greeted us warmly, and provided us with a delicious meal that was beyond our expectations! Our personal wait staff was wonderful, specifically Jose Garcia and Yaneth Garcia. They made sure that everything we could have asked for was fulfilled unexplained anything we didn’t understand or we’re unsure of. We would absolutely come back to La Dolce Vita!
