Best Resort near Male

We have been to Maldives several times staying in reputable resorts Mirihi, Fourseasons etc. This is our first time staying in North Male Atoll. We choose Baros because of the reputation in Internet and we find that all the information provided in Internet was true. This resort is amazing, very good house reef, very good food and extremely top class services from the Butler team leaded by Azzam. Our flight to Hong Kong affected by the typhoon and the Butler team help us to get the latest fight information so sit still enjoy additional services free of charge provided by the hotel like a daytime pool Villa, free drinks and arranged Male city tour for us so we can enjoy additional time before taking our many hours delayed flight. Thank you Azzam, Amin and all staffs providing us an unforgettable holidays. We will be back.

Wonderful week at Baros

We really enjoyed our stay here, glorious memories despite the off-season weather!! The staff is so warm, knowledgeable and friendly, especially Sujata (butler) and Ambra (marine center). We were celebrating our first anniversary and they made the week so special. The house reef is teeming with fish and easily accessible which makes Baros a perfect place to take scuba lessons. I highly recommend Ambra, an Italian marine biologist who is so capable and calm/calming. She helped me discover a new hobby for which I am very grateful. We also recommend the night snorkeling at the Marine center, what a treat to see these magnificent sea creatures during evening hours. Sujata was also very professional, organized, caring with just the right level of engagement. We found it very easy to coordinate with her and we’re so grateful for the extra steps she took, we felt so pampered. The food at Lime is very good, breakfast has a lot of options. Lighthouse lives up to its fine dining reputation, this is where we enjoyed our anniversary dinner. The theme buffet at Cayenne was good (Maldivian cuisine) but otherwise skip the grill items (tasteless and too dry). We spent a lot of time at Sails bar, playing games and ordering drinks and casual meals. We can’t wait to come back !
