Located in the Magic Kingdom Resort Area, this Disney Deluxe Villa Resort has been designed to complement the fabled styling of the classic Disney's Contemporary Resort building. Bay Lake Tower promises to deliver some of the most dramatic views available anywhere at Walt Disney World Resort. A convenient covered Sky Way Bridge links the Tower to the shops, restaurants and monorail station in the original Disney's Contemporary Resort. Disney Resort hotel guests will enjoy the benefits of complimentary transportation throughout Walt Disney World. In order to enter theme parks, a reservation is required in addition to a valid park ticket. Bay Lake Tower with Dave's Vacation Club

We loved our weeklong stay at Bay Lake Towers with our family of 6. We rented a 2 bedroom unit through Dave’s Vacation Club at a significant savings over the prices Disney was charging for a comparable unit. The unit itself was beautiful, spacious and well equipped for taking a break from dining out and making meals ourselves. The Bay Lake/Contemporary Complex was great—our grandchildren loved the pools and staff entertainment, and we loved being able to walk to Magic Kingdom. Your service staff was extremely helpful whenever I called. Thanks so much.

We have grand villa (3 bedrooms) very spacious very clean. Accessible to Magic Kingdom and monorail. Good view of nightly fireworks. Nice pool and you have access to the Contemporary Resort pool next door too. Nothing negative experienced.

Some Good, Some Not So Good

The resort is under construction. Take that into consideration. Walkway to MK is incredibly easy. The skybridge was closed, so we had to go through the Contemporary, but it wasn't a huge deal. Since there is so much construction, the elevators took a very long time to come. The end of the evening, we waited up to 30 minutes just to get an elevator. Stayed in an older studio. Well, where to begin? The view was pretty great! Watched fireworks from the balcony. The room is kind of odd. Since we were in an older room, we still had a table to eat on. There is an ok amount of space in the bedroom area. The rest of the room is very oddly shaped and planned out. The kitchen is a galley, with plenty of space. Note that the refrigerator does not include a freezer, which we did not realize. Toaster, micro, etc. dishes, etc. all fine. The bathroom is pretty awful. No place to put things, other than a small amount of shelving next to the sink (kind of high up) and everything just falls into the sink as you are trying to use that area. Frustrating, but we made it work. Overall, the place needs refurbishing, but I believe the configuration of the studio isn't changing. Stayed before in a 2 bedroom, and it was great. WAY more room. The location is wonderful. So, yes, a confusing review.

Prime Location, But Showing Its Age

Bay Lake Tower’s biggest selling point remains its unbeatable location — steps away from Magic Kingdom and connected to the monorail for seamless access to other parks and resorts. For convenience and transportation, it doesn’t get much better than this. That said, the overall experience left something to be desired. The rooms and lobby feel noticeably dated, lacking the modern polish seen at some of Disney’s newer or recently refurbished properties. The studio layout in particular is awkward and cramped, with limited storage and a design that feels more functional than comfortable. Additionally, ongoing construction throughout the resort detracted from the ambiance and made parts of the stay feel disjointed. If proximity to the parks is your top priority, Bay Lake delivers in spades. But for those looking for an immersive or upscale resort experience, this may fall short — especially given the premium price point.

So close to MK!

We stayed in a 2 bedroom using rented points. We loved it! It was very spacious for 6 of us. We were on a low floor, but we had views of Cinderella Castle. We also took advantage of walking to Magic Kingdom which was a big perk. It was not the most convenient walk to get drinks, snacks, and ride the monorail, but it wasn’t too bad. We had a large coffee maker in our room along with all the coffee supplies we needed. It also smelled wonderful in the lobby and halls. I have stayed in many Disney hotels, and I enjoyed this way more than expected. I also loved having a washer and dryer. It would be very nice to stay here long term( but way too expensive). We also went up to the roof to see gorgeous views. My daughter took advantage of the running trail, and we enjoyed the outdoor rec games and craft room.
