It is with great sadness I write this post. We've been to Be Tulum a total of five times in the last decade and this was by far the worst experience. Long story short the seaweed is out of control and the hotel appears to have no issue with allowing it to stockpile. We've been before during seaweed season, and they made great effort in having it removed with a team of dedicated individuals, but this time we were informed it was low season, and that effort wasn't going to occur. In fact, we called Hotel Esencia, in an effort to salvage the holiday, and I was informed they have a dedicated team of ten trying to mitigate the issue. One tractor for both Be Tulum and Nomade isn't sufficient. The property just north of Be Tulum is going old school and has a team of four clearing, and guess what there is an actual clear path to the sea, which hasn’t been the case at Be Tulum over the past six days. Don't fall for the posts of crystal clear seas and pristine beaches, that isn't the case. One last item, you would hope a hotel of Be Tulum's caliber would make an effort with repeat customer's as we were celebrating my husband's 45th birthday, there wasn't even a "Welcome Back" message or any acknowledgment of our fifth visit to their property, very disappointing indeed. We will not be returning!!!
