Bed & Bike Curacao - Jan Thiel

I stayed at the hostel for a few days and would like to share both positive and negative points about my experience: Positive: 1.The location is great, close to everything with easy access to key spots in the city. 2.The cleanliness was impeccable, with everything always well-organized and pleasant. 3.The hostel’s décor is lovely, giving the place a charming and cozy atmosphere. 4.The staff is very polite and helpful, always willing to assist with whatever is needed. Negative: 1.The stove has 8 burners, but only 2 of them work, and even those work poorly. 2.The kitchen utensils and equipment are in a deplorable state, making it extremely unpleasant and even disgusting to cook in such conditions. I've never stayed in a place with a kitchen this poorly maintained. 3.Although they offer free bike tours, there are around 30 bicycles available, but none of them are in usable condition. They all require urgent maintenance. These are my thoughts, and I truly hope that one day the kitchen and its equipment can be improved, as this would greatly enhance the experience for future guests.

We booked your family trip from July 18 till 26 we didn't when we're arrived it was not what we expected. We decided to not stay and spoke with one of the employee. We didn't even sleep even one night at they place and 3 days later they took all my money from my card. This is are they scam guest that was E fraud. We contacted the hotel and the manager they say they will not give us our money back. We are waiting on them to contact us ASAP and resolve this unpleasant experience.

We have spent 3 weeks staying at your facilities. *They stole our belongings from the refrigerator; 5 beers, juices and bread. In monetary value it is not relevant but the way in which the administration of the place reacted is. It is indicated that there are cameras which for the purposes of solving were not valid. It feels like someone can grab anything and take it and no one will do anything to stop it. It was reported to the Manager, 5 days before we left. We could not contact him on any of the days, strange hours or he was not present at the place. *Excessive staff turnover, every day someone different to resolve questions or problems, I understand that they are all interns for short periods of time. Employees are the visible face of the company. *No security at night. It was possible for outsiders to enter the facilities. In fact, there were strange movements at night as cars arrived, picked up things, and left. *Fights at night, there were people staying in the place who fought in the early morning. Since there was no one controlling it, I was able to understand that there were two nights that were impossible to sleep. No one to take responsibility. *On holidays, the state of the pool was deplorable. Even fries in it. The excuse was that the maintenance guys didn't come. the client pays for a service not for excuses. Ditto the issue of the garbage accumulated next to the kitchen for 4 days.
