One of our best holiday so far! We have spent 9 days at Saint Lucia from 26 April to 5 May at Bel Jou Hotel! Beautiful place, amazing people, delicious food, very good cocktails!! Highly recommend!! Little gem on the Island of Paradise! Laszlo

A Wonderful Place in Every Way

This is a wonderful hotel in a great location. It was our fourth visit and we hope won't be our last! All of the staff work hard to give you a fantastic holiday and are very friendly whilst always being professional. The pool areas are great, the evening entertainment is fun! The food was even better this time. Available all day with plenty of variety and tasty options. The hotel looks over Castries. There's a daily shuttle every hour to the beach or town, both 5 mins drive away, the markets, shops and bars/cafe. It's only a short walk, down and back up quite a steep hill, which we sometimes walk- but depends how lazy we're feeling! There's lots of different trips to book on to enjoy St Lucia. Public buses in town take you to anywhere on St Lucia for a cheap (for us) fare. Once you stay here you'll be back again, if you can.

I will not be original. The hotel is indeed great, rooms great size and very comfortable, massive thick mattress and fluffy pillows, clean bathroom with towels and toiletries supplied as needed, kettle and everything you need for an early morning tea or coffee, iron, ironing board, safe, fridge, TV, Wi-Fi, everything is there. Food varied daily, loved it all and appreciated a selection of local cuisine. Always something available to eat and drink so no need to stress if you miss the buffet restaurant serving hours. Lovely clean pools, easy shuttle to the beach which is not what you will find in Cuba but that was expected. The staff are lovely and welcoming and all small issues (in my case all my fault) are sorted in a matter of minutes and with a smile on their faces. No flies, no mosquitoes, just some tiny ants. Great view from the hill, peace and quietness (apart from the noisy but lovely bananaquits) and one week feels like 2 when staying there.

We stayed at the Hotel Bel Jou for two weeks, on arrival we found the staff to be very polite and friendly, check in was quick and welcoming. Mickey the bell boy took us to our room once again very friendly and polite. The room was spacious and clean with all the usual facilities and a walk in shower, the bed was large and comfortable. There were two restaurants one was buffet and the other waitress served. The Head chef Devon was responsible for the excellent variety of dishes including local cuisine, we found him to be very approachable and somewhat of a great dancer too.There was also a daytime poolside drinks and snack bar. Two swimming pools one on the lower garden area with a self service drinks cabin. One on the upper area. Both pools were clean and warm. Plenty of sun beds around including Bali beds. Evening entertainment was varied and finished at eleven o’clock which was great for us. Asard was another great member of staff with whom I played chess with. Unfortunately he came off second best. Other members of staff to get a mention for their great work include. Andrea, Sam, Devon, Brendon, Lulu, Precious, Tinika, Jaffrey and so many others. Overall a relaxing experience while also meeting some lovely people staff and guests alike.

We have just returned from 11 fabulous nights at The Bel Joy hotel. Food is fantastic, lots of choices. Do not miss the Thursday bbq night We had a sea view room, spacious , comfortable bed cleaned daily. Great entertainment. Amazing staff. Lots of steps ( no lifts ) so if you have limited mobility this place isn’t for you.
