Belcekiz Beach Hotel Olu Deniz - Turkey 2025 We are a well traveled English couple in our mid 60’s and have traveled all over the world in the last 45+ years staying in 2* accommodation to 5*+. We stayed at this hotel with family at the end of June / early July 2025. Other family members on this holiday stayed in this hotel last year, so we decided to join them for their returning holiday, 8 of us in total including a toddler across 4 generations. This will be the 3rd time that we have been to Olu Deniz, so we knew what the area was like. The holiday was booked with TUI and the flight was by Easy Jet. We had a private transfer to and from the hotel. No delays or dramas. You do not have to pay a tax to enter / exit the county. We arrived at the hotel at 23:30, check in was as expected and efficient. Then went to get a drink before the bar closed at 24:00 and off to our rooms to unpack and ZZZZZZ. The weather was very hot! No rain during our holiday, almost not a cloud in the sky. Our room, 282. This was in the annex part of the hotel across the road and on the top floor. The room and balcony was a little on the small side, but for 2 people the size was okay and it was clean. No complaints about the room itself other that it could have been a little bigger. Not much of a view from the balcony but we were not overlooked. The balcony railing is iron, plenty high enough and attractive. However, it has gaps at the bottom; I certainly would not let a toddler / small child out on the balcony on their own! (The family member with the toddler had a ground floor room that had a secure wall around the balcony, this was perfectly safe. An airer is provide for drying washing. We will give the room that we had 7/10 and balcony 5/10. The hotel was fully booked during our stay. The room had a safe, that you have to pay extra for. We felt that was a bit of a rip off to be honest. Why make a charge for using the safe? The room was also furnished with a fridge, kettle / coffee making facilities (could do with a bit more coffee) hair dryer, bathroom slippers, but no bath robes. No iron and also no full length mirror, so the ladies may not like that. The air conditioner worked very well. Two large bottles of water provided each day. Plugs are the twin round pin type. The bathroom had a shower cubicle, no bath, this was fine for us. The maid service was unobtrusive and we thank her for cleaning up our room each day. Wi-Fi, this was free and in the main we found this worked fine and okay for our needs. But at peak times it was very slow. The hotel is surprisingly large spread over two sites. Both sites have a swimming pool. The main site backs onto the beach and this has all of the key facilities, larger pool, restaurants, main bar, garden areas, shops, spa, and reception. The annex, secondary site, had a smaller adults only pool with a bar. Probably because we are older now we liked the fact that the hotel grounds were mainly flat. The grounds were pleasant / well maintained with lots of trees and grassed areas. Although the hotel is very close to the town you would not know it when inside, there is no noise inside the hotel from the town. The all inclusive service runs from 08:00 to 24:00. Serving local alcohol and soft drinks. We found the local drinks were fine. Food is as subjective as drink is, we liked the food, plenty of choice and if we are honest we ate better at this hotel than we do at home! We certainly never went hungry or thirsty. The main bar overlooks the beach and sea. This is probably the diamond in the hotels crown. It really was very nice being able to sit looking out to sea with a drink in hand, people watching and seeing the paraglides come in to land, all from the bars elevated location. Basically you have your own private breach bar, and most of the drinks are all inclusive! Sun beds and towels… As most other reviewers have said if you want a sun bed by the pool then you have to be thinking be ready to put your towels out by 07:45. There are plenty of sun beds available but space around the pool is limited. We used the sun beds in the garden area that is close to the pool. Lots of umbrellas are available. The garden area also has large trees for shade. We never had a problem finding a group of beds for our family at about 08:00. Pool bar. This services the pool and garden area. They have a full range of drinks. A couple of young men provide waiting service to your sun beds, no charge for this and no tipping is required or asked for. They come around quite frequently they do not speak much English but understand what you want to drink. They are very friendly and we were grateful for the excellent service that they provided. The evening entertainment was okay, as you would expect in an all inclusive hotel. Day time games are a bit of fun nothing serious, killer darts, killer pool Etc. The entertainments manager is a nice man called Air. (He may not be everyone’s cup of tea). He is good fun and very quick witted with adult quips Etc. We understand that he has been at the hotel for years. Thank you to Air for making us laugh so much :-) You certainly are an asset to the hotel. Children's facilities. The hotel has a children's pool and grassed play area with a slide Etc. No children's club. The beach. The hotel has an area of the beach with sun beds but no drinks service. I personally do not like the beach / sea very much so I did not frequent it. Other family members did and said that it was nice. Cats… There are about 20+ cats that roam the hotel freely. Some are cared for by Air we think and not really that feral. There are notices up asking guests not to feed them. We understand that not everyone likes cats. But they are friendly and some of them do make out that they are hungry. We like cats, if you do not then just ignore them, they soon get to know which guests are cat friendly. However, if you really do not like cats then this is probably not the hotel for you. Money. Most things are priced in Turkish. However, we did find that they were keen for us to pay in UK Pounds. This is especially applicable to any trips you purchase from the many vendors in the town. The town of Olu Deniz is next to the hotel. The town is quite busy. It is the normal collection of shops that you get around the Mediterranean coast selling clothing, jewellery, souvenirs and trips. The town felt quite safe during both the day and night. The locals were saying that times were hard with rising costs for them and falling trade. The cost of living crisis does not seem to be unique to the UK. Some of the locals were saying that if things do not pick up they will not be trading next year. One local said that he used to make enough money in the summer to take him through the winter. However, this year by the time the winter is over he will have maxed out his credit cards just to stay afloat. Check out and going home. Check out was at 12:00. We did try and keep our rooms on but this was not possible. The hotel has a secure room in reception that you can put your cases in until you leave. You can use the shower facilities in the spa before you go. We left the hotel at 18:00. Conclusion… I have tried to be honest and give you a good heads up about this hotel / our holiday. I hope that this review helps you make an informed decision. Holidays are always what you personally make of them. You can always think of little things that were not to your liking, but we just accept them. Some guests were multiple returning, one couple we spoke to had stayed at this hotel 11 times. Most of the guests were British, a few other nationalities. We certainly had a great time and would like to thank the hotel staff for making us feel welcome. We can see no reason why we would not come back and holiday here again. Top tip. If you go out of the hotels main entrance and go left, walk along the road for 2 minutes you will find a local kebab restaurant on your right hand side. It is nothing fancy and on the road side. They sell the best kebabs I have ever tasted.
