The hotel deserves a 3.5, but since I can’t give that, I’ll rate it a 3. I’ve stayed in budget hotels in many places across Asia, but here it feels like people don’t put enough effort into maintenance. Starting with the good things: it’s a 10–15 minute walk to Legian Beach (in a straight line, without small streets), it has a currency exchange with fair rates like elsewhere, the pool area is quite nice — greenery, sun loungers — and overall, all common areas are fine. The staff is very friendly, and the cleaning is actually done well. There’s a Circle K convenience store right next to the hotel, and Legian Food Court (with many warungs) is just a 3-minute walk away However, the rooms (not sure if all are the same) are worn out: old faucets, no deep cleaning, bathroom walls affected by humidity, wooden furniture in the same state (not sure why you’d use so much wood in such a humid climate). The furniture in the room is modern and minimal, but the bathroom needs renovation. They used microcement, but that also needs maintenance. All in all, it’s a budget hotel, suitable if you’d rather spend money on trips or other things than on fancy rooms. Again, it is clean, you can sleep peacefully for a few nights.
