Blue Bay Platinum Hotel

I have littrally just arrived back home from here and gonna give my honest review!!! 1st- hotel is very beautiful to be in and look at!! The atmosphere is great everyone is very friendly, the food is decent you can’t go hungry!!! I travelled with my kids what I will say is it’s very boring for children nothing to do! As we did travel in October the snack, drinks, swimming pool and any other activities where closed by 5 the alcohol was rubbish. Payed for a spa and deep tissue massage but I wish I never wasted my money it was just a basic massage all tho the girls was lovely and the Turkish bath was fantastic!!!! The hotel is in a great location for shopping etc! The grand bizarre was £4 in taxi but the strip of shops goes on for miles….. be careful shopping because if you pay on card they will over charge and I found this with most shops loads always convert yourself!! Bars and shops shut 12:30am loads of things to do on the outside of the hotel! There is a fab place up the road where they do go karting we found this great and was only £10pp, done the quads tho this was a bit pricey £37pp the room was very clean and spacious the WiFi was great. Personally I wouldn’t take kids to this hotel as for the little slide they have there really is nothing more it’s a grown up hotel, I would definitely return back but honestly it would only be for the location.

I stayed at Blue Bay Platinum Hotel for one week. The hotel was clean and well-maintained, which made for a comfortable stay. Paper cups were provided for drinks in the room, which didn’t feel very practical or environmentally friendly. The food was generally tasty, although it was sometimes not hot enough. The location is great, close to shops, the beach, and local attractions. Alex by the adults-only pool was lovely, friendly, and always made guests feel welcome. The main pool area is quite enclosed, with lots of shaded spots, but people reserve sunbeds very early, which can be frustrating. Overall, it’s a nice hotel with good service and atmosphere, though a few small changes could make it even better.

Been back from our stay at the blue bay platinum hotel a week now and I would like to say we had a great stay in all aspects in this hotel . It was clean ,friendly staff ,food was great and ideal location. Would like to give a big shout out to Alex who really looked after us all holiday . Alex looks after the bar and pool around the quiet area ( adults only ) He put his self out to make sure you had drinks and all this area was kept clean and tidy all day . As we spent most of our time relaxing in this area it was highlighted how hard he works . We do not have any complaints about the hotel and would definitely recommend to family and friends.

A decent hotel in many ways.Staff work tirelessly and keep the place very clean Rooms seem to be of different standards & sizes throughout, ours was a good size, clean and comfortable with a small bathroom but main door did look as though it had been broken open at some stage & not very secure. My daughter, her partner & baby’s room was smaller. Same price paid 🤷‍♀️ Staff were all very pleasant. The safe and tv in the rooms are payable if you want to use them. I believe they asked for £5 per day for the safe but we got it for £30 for 12 days after some negotiating. Poor show to be charged for use of a safe I think, especially when room doors are not secure. The food was very good some nights and mediocre on others but always enough variety to be satisfactory. The pools are very deep, not child friendly in my opinion, I’m 5ft 7ins & was on my toes to cross the pool, they are clean though. Too many people for the amount of clientele for poolside to be pleasant & music too loud to relax. The beach is a 10 minute walk from room. You are expected to buy a drink from the men that come around offering them, we hadn’t as we’d bought some prior to going to beach. We were told by the men that we should buy from them. It’s not mandatory but felt intimidated to do so. They look after you if you buy from them even if it’s only water but obviously the price is inflated. Shingle sand & also very busy but we spent lots of nice days there. Bars are all decent & poolside food looked good if you want burger/hit dogs/pizza etc. The Patisserie deserves a mention, serving delicious cakes & ice creams plus coffee & tea. The air con in there is great. The entertainment isn’t bad but starts late, 9.30-10pm so only saw it a few times. A better set up for little ones/ children is needed and at an earlier time. Quite poor on kiddies entertainment. Sadly, some of the clientele seemed to be the biggest problem. Smelled cannabis on several occasions and some very aggresive people who as usual, abuse alcohol then become loud. Cant blame the hotel for that though. The behaviour was very unpleasant on times as was the language used. The hotel is very well located for shopping bars & entertainment and about a 30 minute walk from the marina. It was decent value for money and almost a 4 star but not quite in my opinion.
