We visited this hotel for 2 weeks from the end of March to April 2025 and were pleasantly surprised on our arrival at how clean the hotel was. Staff were friendly, helpful and extremely polite. The room was adequate with a big comfy bed, but storage was limited, with no drawers and only a handful of coat hangers - this is a minor point but still worth noting as our clothes were either left in suitcases or folded up on the countertop. The shower was not the most powerful but did the job, so no real issues there. The maid service was excellent and our room was thoroughly cleaned daily. The rooftop infinity pool was excellent during the daytime as the other outdoor pool was in the shade all of the time. Although we didn’t have a swim up room we did notice that these were all in the shade as well so if you love the sun it is not really worth paying the extra for one of these rooms. The Twice a Day restaurant in the hotel was a really great place to eat. The food was of excellent quality and they kept a record of my shellfish and peanut allergies and ensured my food was prepared separately so there was no risk of cross contamination - the only issue was that they wanted to keep feeding you!! 🤣. It is worth noting that the bars at the hotel close quite early as do most of the bars and restaurants in the immediate backbiting but there are bars open later within about a half hour walk from the hotel. To be honest we didn’t feel like late night eating or drinking anyway as the weather was so hot. The beach near the hotel wasn’t a soft sandy beach as there was a lot of broken shells in the sand which made it quite uncomfortable under bare feet. The sea was hot like a bath, so if you were looking to go for a swim to cool down it wasn’t very effective!! These are all things that are not under human control but are worth knowing so there are no surprises. There is a market close by which is definitely a place to go to eat at night as there is entertainment, street food and also stalls selling local gifts etc. All in all the holiday was extremely enjoyable - we would definitely visit Thailand again, but probably to a different part of the country.

Our holiday stay at the Blusotel didn't start off too well as our room wasn't ready when we arrived after a very tiring 23 hours of travel from the UK. I blame TUI for not arranging this detail properly so we had to wait almost 3 hours to get our room. After a short sleep we felt better and began to explore the hotel and surroundings. The hotel is in a great place 5 - 7 minutes walk to Aonong Beach. The hotel is surrounded by shops, bars, restaurants, money exchanges, ATMs and 7/11 Shops so very well situated. The staff are extremely polite,helpful and cheerful throughout the hotel. The food at breakfast was fresh, tasty and the kitchen cook omlettes to order which are delicious. The service was good too. The same can be said for the Pool Bar menu, great cocktails, smoothies and lovely food. The handmade pizzas are light and tasty along with the Australian Burger. There are "happy hour" deals too which are great. The pool itself could do with a deep clean and in all honesty but was still nice to cool off in. There are a few concerns about lack of suitable rails to enter and exit the pool as the tiling surrounding the pool is very slippery and I personally saw a few people fall through slipping. The bedroom was large and had a nice balcony with good furniture, adequate for us. The room had a fridge so we could self cater etc with milk, water etc. The lady who cleaned for us was fantastic, cleaned the room everyday even though we told her it was ok to miss us some days. She was meticulous, made sculptures from towels too. Although it wasn't a 4 star in comparison to the UK it had a super sized extremely comfortable bed and all the things that you need in the room including kettle, hairdryer and bath plus additional shower cubicle. One other bad point was some of the other guests from India that didn't seem to understand how to behave in the restaurant or pool, jumping into the pool in all their clothing not swimwear and not following the hotel rules. Management had to intervene a number of times with the various groups of adults about their behaviour in public spaces. We would return as the hotel is good, the staff are brilliant and it's in the middle of the action. Don't miss out on going to Aonong local market, some beautiful goods for sale made by local artists and traders, not tat plus great street food and entertainment each night.

Amazing stay. Made to feel very welcome by all staff but especially to Pa on the restaurant, he really taken his time to speak to us and to ensure we had everything we needed when we needed it! Such a lovely person. Lovely rooms and very clean! Speak very good English 😊

The rooms are dated. Only one pool and restaurant. The location is great. Walkable to 7-11, Clinic, and plenty of food, night life and health and wellness. Not far from beach as well. The staff is friendly and helpful. Food is 5 out 10. The pool gets crowded early. Small pool for the hotel size

I would recommend looking at other hotels, we did not enjoy our stay here and have stayed in much better hotels during our time in Thailand for the same price and been much more impressed. Firstly, on our arrival staff were not particularly friendly or welcoming. We have seen other guests receive a complimentary drink on arrival, however we did not get offered this. Initially we were in a superior room, this was shocking. The bed was unbelievably uncomfortable and you could feel the springs. The pillows may as well have been non-existent they were that soft and flat. I complained about this and was told they would get more pillows. These never arrived, despite asking twice. The air con in this room was very poor and noisy. We complained and advised we were not happy with the standard of the room, uncomfortable bed, rubbish and noisy A/C and scruffy room which needs painting. We were shown a deluxe room with a pool view which was better, the bed was more comfortable, better A/C, albeit still loud and a cleaner, brighter room. We decided to change rooms, however we did have to PAY for this. Whilst dealing with these issues the staff were quite rude, didn’t listen and we did not get a single apology about our issues. We don’t usually complain but the bed was too uncomfortable to sleep for a week. The breakfast was mediocre. We ended up going out most days. We had a incident with our beach towels which you can use from reception with a deposit of 100 baht per towel. We left them in our room one day as we were at the pool. When we came back, the housekeeping had been in and now these towels had gone. We told the reception staff who again, did not apologise and advised they would speak to housekeeping the next morning and let us know if we could have our deposit back or not!! We heard nothing the next morning, so we went to reception and luckily given our deposit back . Not sure why they are taking towels out the room as if you want them changing you can do this yourself at reception. Some days the housekeeping were not changing towels or bedding despite us doing the hotel procedures such as leaving them on the floor if the towels need changing… On a positive note, the pool area was nice and clean and always plenty of sunbeds. It is in a good location. Overall, we were not pleased with this hotel and would not stay here again or recommend this hotel.
