They asked me three times to write a review, so here is my honest one. I’m giving 1 out of 5. It's for the outdoor bathtub, and for the staff. The bathtub is genuinely great. Hot water works perfectly, and the lake and mountain view is beautiful. The staff are also friendly and quick to respond. Now the problems. I rarely complain when I stay somewhere. But not this time. The aircon kept shutting down. When it was on, it didn’t even cool, just blowing air. It shut down twice on the first afternoon, then again in the middle of the night. I was too tired to complain at that point. The cold kintamani weather helped a bit, although the room still felt stuffy. After hiking Mt. Batur the next morning, all I wanted was a comfortable room to rest in. The aircon wouldn’t even turn on. My wife called for help, they fixed it, and not long after, it broke again. Four complaints just for the aircon. The door lock kept getting stuck in a locked position, so the door couldn’t be properly closed. Another complaint. The bathroom door seal was broken. After one shower, water flooded into the room. I ended up mopping the floor with the bathroom mat. The soap dispenser was also broken and kept leaking until it ran out. After all those complaints I made, I was honestly still willing to let it go. Then here's come the most annoying thing. The receptionist said the manager wanted to talk to me. He asked about my stay, listened to all the issues, apologized, and then offered a compensation. Guess what? A 65 gram pack of Chitato for my daughter. That’s it. A 12,000 rupiah snack. After all those problems, that wasn’t compensation. It felt like a joke. If that’s the best the management can offer, it would have been better not to offer anything at all.
