Wonderful stay at Caesar Gardens Hotel & Spa

30 Jun 2025
Wonderful hotel set in picturesque gardens with a nice 10 minute walk into Lindos (possibly a 6 euro taxi back up the hill some days!). Hotel looks exactly as per the photos. The staff are great and can’t do enough for you. A mention to the cleaning staff who always said hi and did a great job behind the scenes. We stayed in a Bungalow with a private pool and this was fantastic. Couldn’t ask for more. Could be a fly and flop holiday or busier with trips if you chose it so best of both worlds. Would thoroughly recommend

Back to Lindos!

31 May 2025
We spent a week in May at the rather splendid Ceasers Gardens and had a thoroughly wonderful time! We stayed in their highest room category, the Mediterranean Suite which has all the outdoor space you could possibly need! Nice to see a parasol for those of us that dont want to be in the sun constantly and there were a variety of seating options to choose from. The plunge pool was far too cold to use at this time of year sadly, but dipping your feet in for a few seconds soon brought your temperature down when necessary. The room was spacious and beautifully styled, however we have never come across a bed quite so high - a step was provided to get in and out of it! We found it amusing but its not for everyone! All the staff were very friendly and accommodating and seemed genuinely pleased to be there. Breakfast each day was a real treat, we also had lunch and dinner on a couple of occasions at the hotel restaurant- the food was consistently fantastic! Being a small property, there are very few people around at one time and the whole place has a gorgeous, tranquil ambience - very relaxing. No sunbed wars here! Oh and just on a side note, not sure if those lux sun loungers on their marketing photos were just brought in to dress the place, but they don't exist! Just your regular sun loungers round the pool, no deep cushions as advertised! Location was perfect for us, a 20 minute walk into Lindos, any further would have been a touch too far in the heat. We did walk back most of the time, but the uphill part as you come out of the village is a challenge after a big meal! Taxis are plentiful and only a few euros if you're not feeling up to it. There is a supermarket a couple of minutes down the road which stocks a little of everything, we also brought carrots every day and fed them to the two donkeys in the field on the way back! Hotel reception very kindly organised a rental car for us one day, we drove into Rhodes Old Town and went out to dinner the other side of Pefkos that evening. At €50 for the day it was great value and cheaper than a taxi. You can catch the bus from the bottom of the road but it gets very busy and obviously takes much longer. We ate dinner one evening at Cesars Meze Bar in Lindos and would highly recommend it. Beautifully styled, gorgeous views and the food and drink were superb. We met the owner that evening, he came over and introduced himself, lovely chap - clearly very passionate about what he does. Lindos has a very special place in our hearts as we got married here 10 years ago, so it was amazing to come back and see how much is has changed. Ceasers was the perfect place to stay for us. A few observations that if addressed would elevate this lovely little hotel even further... - There is a coffee machine in the room, but pods are chargeable, this is unusual in a 5 star hotel. - 2 small bottles of water are provided each day, if you'd like more, it's also chargeable. Again, wouldn't expect that in a 5 star hotel. - The shower temperature is a bit like playing Russian roulette! We also woke up one morning to no water at all. - That bed!! Quirky but not very practical at all! Our only real disappointment was that despite having emailed ahead to make them aware we were celebrating a special anniversary, and mentioning it again at check in as the lady didn't have any idea - there was no acknowledgement of this whatsoever by the hotel. The cleaners noticed we had cards up in our room the day after and left us a little note and some flowers they had picked from the garden - thank you ladies, you are a credit to the hotel!

Day Guest

31 May 2025
Having walked past this hotel for many years I was delighted to find out that they allow you to use the pool area for the day for a €15 per person charge. This gave me the opportunity to see what the outside areas were like. The pool area, gardens, and jacuzzi areas are absolutely beautiful. Very peaceful and tranquil. Perfect for a relaxing day with no children screaming and jumping in the pool. We also had lunch there. I ordered club sandwich and it was superb..the best I'd ever eaten. And my husband had crispy chicken burger...it looked fabulous but unfortunately was totally overcooked and impossible to eat. We didn't complain but we should have. The prices for food and drinks are as you would expect for a boutique hotel but not as expensive as I expected. But more than most hotels in the area. Having spoken to guests who were staying there they raved about the breakfast and said the rooms were lovely. My main gripes are: The sun beds are nylon and do not have any mattresses on. This is clearly a new thing as last year they were different beds and had very thick mattresses. The parasols are fixed open coconut matting types and you are constantly chasing the sun as they give off a lot of shade so most of the beds most of the time are in shade. The pool is stunning but I saw moss growing on the floor of the pool and in a corner and it put me off. The jacuzzi was fabulous but after seeing the moss in the pool I questioned the cleaning of these areas. I would return as a day guest but unless I win the lottery I would probably not want to save up to stay there.

What can I say? That’s not already been said about this place pure tranquility so relaxing so chilled very clean. Breakfast was amazing. They have a few cats which are really chilling, friendly. Make sure that you do feed them. Convenient location it’s about a 20 minute walk into Lindos. There is a little supermarket about 200 m down the road. Make sure if you do visit the supermarket to buy two carrots to feed the donkeys on your way back.

Beautiful Hotel

31 Aug 2024
This is our second stay in this beautiful hotel and hopefully it will not be our last. We were only there for two nights at the end of our holiday which was a big mistake as it was nowhere near long enough, if we are fortunate enough to stay here again we will definitely make sure we stay longer. The hotel is so beautiful with a wonderful calm vibe, it’s hard not to feel completely relaxed when you are there. Despite been almost full it was very quiet whilst we were there, always plenty of choice of sun beds and there are also lots of other places to chill other than around the pool. All the staff are extremely friendly, polite and professional, a real asset to the hotel. The location is perfect, in a quiet area but you can walk into Lindos in around 20 minutes and get a taxi back if you can’t face the hill!! We stayed in a ground floor room overlooking the pool. It was spacious, beautifully decorated with a lovely comfy bed. The addition of a dressing table with mirror and somewhere to hang long dresses would have been good but apart from that it was really nice. We never ate in the restaurant in the evening but we had lunch there twice which was really good. I note a few other reviews about the cost of drinks etc. they were a bit in the high side which perhaps put people off as we rarely saw people having drinks which was a shame. Perhaps the addition of a sunset or aperitif hour offering guest discount might entice more people to have a drink and therefore encourage a little more socialising. I personally didn’t agree with having to pay for the coffee pods in the room, I don’t recall ever having to do that in any other hotel, perhaps 2 complementary a day would be a nice gesture. The spa also has room for improvement. Aside from this it remains a firm favourite of ours. If luxury and relaxation is what you’re looking for then I doubt you’ll be disappointed.
