We had the most incredible stay at Cape Kudu Hotel — it truly exceeded all expectations from what we were told about Thailands ‘rainy’ season. From the moment we arrived, we were warmly welcomed by Jenny at reception, who made us feel at ease straight away. That same friendly, genuine hospitality continued throughout our stay, thanks to the wonderful team, including the Food & Beverage Manager Yohan and the General Manager Antoine, who were both incredibly attentive, not afraid to assist their junior staff when needed and always attentive to guests needs. Getting to know your guests beyond surface level was such a rare experience that we truly loved. Every single staff member we encountered — from the restaurant crew, security and to housekeeping — was consistently kind, helpful, and went above and beyond to ensure we were comfortable. You can really feel that the team here cares deeply about creating a memorable experience for their guests. The buffet breakfast was a standout each morning — a huge variety of options, all fresh and beautifully presented. Whether you’re into fruit, local Thai dishes, or classic Western breakfast options, they had it all. We also dined in for dinner and were blown away by the quality and flavour. Every meal was delicious and beautifully served. The rooms were spacious, clean, and thoughtfully designed with a calm, coastal aesthetic that made it so easy to relax. We loved how peaceful it was — waking up to the sound of birds instead of traffic is something special. The views from the room and the main areas of the hotel were absolutely stunning — you’re surrounded by ocean, islands, and greenery everywhere you look. The pool area is lovely and well-maintained, with comfy lounges and a peaceful atmosphere. There’s also a range of daily complimentary activities available (like batik painting and Thai Dessert workshops), which was such a thoughtful touch and a fun way to connect with the local culture. The hotel is in a great location too — close enough to explore the island by scooter, but still feels like a quiet retreat from the busier tourist areas. If you’re looking for a truly relaxing getaway with top-notch service, beautiful views, and a warm, welcoming vibe, Cape Kudu is a perfect choice. Having stayed at multiple Cape/Kantary group properties this is truely one of the jewels in the crown. We didn’t want to leave — and we’re already planning when we can return!
