May plays host to a number of popular festivals in the Bahamas. Hit up the Caribbean Music Festival and jive to some bouncy beats and for live music enthusiasts, check out the Jazz By The Sea festival. During your trip to the Bahamas in May, an event not to be missed is the Junkanoo Carnival, taking place from 4th to 6th May in Nassau. The carnival unites holidaymakers and locals alike, and sees people enjoying the local culture, dancing to rhythmic music, and tasting exquisite traditional food.

It is a beach lover’s paradise, with Pink Sands Beach, Cable Beach, Tropic of Cancer Beach, and Junkanoo Beach being some of the top beaches to visit.
