February is a fabulous time to visit Barbados. Not only is it the height of the dry season, but the island is bursting with festivities for Holetown Festival; the biggest celebration in recognition of when the English came to Barbados in 1977. Holetown Festival takes over Holetown during the second week of February. The streets are brimming with colourful celebrations. Holidaymakers can rejoice in the activities including an opening gala, street fair, steel band concert and plenty of free-spirited dancing and traditional performances.
Holetown is the place to be during the second week of February if you’re looking for a buzzing atmosphere with lots of partying and fun to be had. If you’re looking to escape the crowds, then head to one of the island’s many gorgeous beaches in St Philip, such as the sumptuous, secluded Ginger Bay. We recommend travelling outside of the school holidays if possible, in order to benefit from lower rates and more availability.
February is the height of the dry season and has an average temperature of 27°C, with highs of 29°C and lows of 21°C. The chance of rain is low with an average of just 8 days of rain in the month.
